WHAT DOES A WOMAN DO TO ATTRACT A MAN? Pearly necklaces? Jewels hanging from her ears? A splatter of blush on her cheeks? Perhaps a corset tight enough to constrict her ribs into scattered bones? Or is it simply existing that makes a man yearn for her company? Siena always thought that, to attract certain attention, she'd have to at least make an impression where the other individual could base his interest. Apparently, that does not seem to even be a requirement. Apparently, the order of the factors truly does not alter the product, and a man can be infatuated by a woman before even getting to know her.
That must be the reason why Siena has been so bejeweled and suffocated into a corset. Since Lord Ellington hadn't even needed a proper first glance of her before wanting to chain her into his last name, her mama had only found it fitting to make her impression once the proposal has already been made. Now, she is sitting in the back of the carriage, clad in a breathtaking pale blue dress, crafted from a delicate, light blue fabric that shimmers subtly in the light. The bodice is adorned with floral lace, enhancing the square neckline that frames her prominent collarbone gracefully, with the short, puffed sleeves, also made of the same floral lace, covering her shoulder blades.
Flowing from the tight bodice, the dress cascades into a smooth, satiny skirt that reaches the floor, creating a gentle, elegant silhouette. The simplicity of the skirt contrasts beautifully with the detailed lace of the upper portion, drawing attention to the delicacy of the dress and the curves of her small waist. Draped over her shoulders and arms is a veil of matching light blue, as delicate as a whisper. It flows around the back and gracefully drapes over her forearms, seeming to float around her.
Complementing it all is a set of pearly jewelry. A single strand of pearls adorning her neck, their luster catching the light and adding a touch of classic sophistication. Matching pearl earrings and a delicate bracelet complete the ensemble, and one can safely assume that with all the gems and the tight cloths, Siena DeLuca feels like a circus act.
Despite the girl looking absolutely flawless, Lady DeLuca has not stopped fiddling with the flower in her curly bun, or the neckline of her dress. She is constantly flattening her skirt, blending the blush on her cheeks or lifting her chin when the girl attempts to look down at her hands. For the sake of the people inside the carriage, Siena refrains from complaining about the constant touching and remains silent.
"I think that is enough, mother. She looks brilliant, there is no need for any more retouching." Renzo gently tells their mama, noticing the look on the girl's face which is hinting an approaching meltdown.
Lady DeLuca sighs, "I know, I know. I only want her to look her best. Lord Ellington was kind enough to ask to escort her here today, she should look the prize."
