I don't I need to say it, but we've all heard of this trope at some point. And it gets very repetitive, very quickly.
Let me set an example. Some girl in high school/college isn't like the rest. She doesn't wear make up, and isn't into gossip, shopping, or boys. But one day, a 'bad boy' (a complete, irredeemable jackass) wins her heart over. But oh no, she also starts having a crush on this distinguished gentleman (with no purpose but to be a love interest). Who will she choose now!?
I think I saw at least 15 books with this exact plot, like someone copy and pasted and then changed the names. Woohoo. So creative, isn't it so inspiring you guys. Make like 50 more chapters, 'cause why the fuck not. MC dumps the better option for the bad boy, since she can "fix him" or whatever. Endures domestic abuse, but it's okay because he loves her too, but struggles to show it. Get engaged at the last chapters. The end.
Yippie./sarcastic
My main issue has been said; you can only do it a few amount of times before it gets stale super quick. Like no joke, I could fall asleep in the first chapter. And that is not a good sign.

Advice time: CREATE INTERESTING DYNAMICS AND AN ACTUAL STORY WORTH TELLING!!
I'm so tired of Wattpad making movie adaptations for these kinds of stories, and leaving anything original to rot. Go do your research and look for different personality types, quirks, hobbies, whatever you need! Can't think of something? There are plenty of sites that can generate it for you, like Perchance. No interesting designs? Picrew's got your back!
There are literally so many resources for you to use on the internet. You just have to put in the effort to look for it. It ain't hard to diverge from the trends and experiment, y'know?

Watpad's Tropes and Cliches
HumorJust what the title says. A book about common tropes on here, dumb cliches and whatever else I can find onto here I can talk about. WARNING: ALL OF THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION!!! If you enjoy these things, that's okay, I won't shame you for it.
