Someone very special is visiting Arrakis right now, someone very influential, very power-hungry, who worked with House Harkonnen in helping in bringing out House Atreides.
That person being the Paddishah Emperor, Shaddam Corrino IV.Somewhere overlooking the basin, was the Baron, in his chair, and N at his side, looking at the domed, circled ship head towards the basin. His nephew, Feyd-Rautha, entered the room, and N turned his head to see him, his eyes hollow, yet serious.
When Feyd got near the window of the room, he asked the Baron, still looking at the ship, "What is he doing here? I brought spice production under control."
At the door, stood Rabban, looking at the interaction. N gave Rabban a gaze, before back to Feyd, who, continued, "What do we do?"
"Send messages to the Great House," replied the Baron, ignoring his previous question of why the Emperor arrived to Arrakis.
"Tell them that Arrakis is under Sardaukar attack," instructed the Baron, who, after a pause, continued, "Tell them, their future hangs in the balance."Somewhere from afar, someone was spying on the ships at Arrakeen. He stopped looking from the binoculars, who spoke, in Fremen: "He brought his whole army."
"When the storm hits the ridge, Gurney will open the way for you, Stilgar, so you can enter the basin from the west and distract their defense systems," planned Paul, who moved his index finger around a map painted on the floor of the cave. It was of Arrakeen. Paul then turned his head to Chani, continuing, "Chani, I want you and your Fedaykin to attack them from the east, inside the basin. I'll strike from the north, head on, with the fundamentalist troops."
"And I'll serve Arrakenn for dessert," interrupted Gurney, his tone serious. Paul wasn't fazed by Gurney's interruption, instead, continuing, "Remember, I need the Emperor alive."
"long live the fighters," cooed Stilgar, in Fremen, looking over at Paul. After he spoke, the other Fremen soldiers watching them lightly hits their chests with their fists. The soldiers then stood up and walked away, along with Gurney, Stilgar and Chani. As she was walking, Chani stopped, crouch, and began to wrap her blue headband around her right arm, as she looked over at the plains.Inside the plains, was the Emperor, sitting on his throne, with one of his daughters, Irulan, besides him. The Baron was at the bottom of the stairs, with N at his side, as he slowly elevated down. The Baron did a weak bow, with N doing an energetic, yet, tyrannic one. Rabban and Feyd bended down to their knees, shoulder-to-shoulder, with Rabban looking at Feyd, before back ahead of him. Rabban looked around, his face basically saying that he's thinks that the Baron would be dead. Irulan looked down with a judging gaze, Feyd squinting his eyes at Irulan maliciously, and the Baron moving his head up.
"Baron," began the emperor, leaving a pause after his word, before continuing, ""do you have any idea who this Maud'Dib could be?"
The Baron proccessed the question, before guessing, "Some fanatic, your majesty. That's all we know." The Emperor wasn't convinced, replying with a harsh tone, "More. More. Give me more."
"He's a madman," said the Baron, the Emperor quickly asking, "Mad?"
"All Fremen are mad," chimed Rabban, with Feyd looking at him.
"That's all you know?" Asked the Emperor, showing a hint of a smile as he spoke, signalling that he's amused with the Baron trying to scramble to know who Maud'Dib is, before continuing, "Really?"
"Maud'Dib is dead," lied Rabban his head slightly turning down to the floor. He knew damn well that the Emperor wasn't buying it.
Feyd chimed in, remarking, "Or, he went hiding in the southern stroms, which means the same thing." As he spoke, the Reverned Mother, who was also at the Emperor's side, made some hand signs, saying "They speak the truth."
"Your majesty, the sandstorm that's approaching threatens the integrity of our shields," announced a Sardaukar soldier, heading up the stairs before stopping, continuing, "We recommend going back into orbit."
"Well, the mountains will protect us from most of it, your majesty," said the Baron, with the soldier walking down the stairs as he finished.
"Baron, have you ever investigated the south regions of Arrakis?" Asked the emperor, lightly tilting himself forward.
"Well, the entire region is uninhabitable. It's well known, your majesty," replied the Baron, with the Emperor replying back, "Your uninhabited south."
"Exhibits evidence of human activity."
"I wasn't aware of this," replied the Baron, panicking internally. Unbeknownst to him, however, the soldier who informed the Emperor of the sandstroms slowly walked towards the back of the Baron, sword in hand.
"I swear to you, I wasn't aware of any of this," said the Baron, with the soldier's sword quickly slicing through the wires that was holding him. The ball drifted off into the roof, Feyd stood up, and the soldier's sword went for another strike, this time at the back of the Baron's neck. The strike wasn't fatal, but it made the Baron fall onto the floor. Rabban quickly stood up, but him, along with Feyd and N, didn't do anything. N looked at the Baron on the floor, his eyes hollow, looking at him like an injured animal.
"Maud'Dib is alive. I must find him!" Said the Emperor, his voice rising.
"And as for you, drone," began the Emperor, causing N to look up to him, interrupting him, "What is it?"
"Sardaukar scouts reported that a 'tooth-picked woman, with rags over her eyes, and a beanie with a pom-pom on it'. Did you really take her out on Salusa Secundus?" Asked the Emperor, tilting himself further foward. N quickly replied, his tone devoid of emotions, "yes, I did. I saw it with my own eyes, your majesty." After N finished his sentence, he felt a stinging pain in his chest. N looked down, to see a sword lodged through his chest, oil already pouring out of it. N coughed out oil, as he switched to his Lasgun, pointing it at the Emperor, with the intention of killing him. But it was in vain, as another sword swung down on him, severing his arm. It dropped to the floor, rolling off. N wasn't going to back off, as he pushed back the user of the sword in his chest. It was successful, and N quickly materialises his wings, and flown off into one vent, successfully penetrating it, and crawling through it like a wild animal. They didn't do anything, just letting him go.
