The trees, which were already frozen stiff, with no colour except blue, were rustled violently. Suddenly, a drone came falling down through the leafs of the trees. He hitted the ground with a soft thud on the snow-covered ground. His neon-yellow eyes lit his ground, darting around the place with hollow eyes. His left leg was torn off while hitting the leafs, and he was bleeding oil. Fast. He laid there, panting heavily, his left hand on his heart, as if his heart were to burst out of him. His life flashed before his eyes, the capture by the Harkonnens, the surgery, the landing...
But then they were cut off as the leafs rustled again, this time producing a female drone, who hit the ground near him. Together, they laid there, not doing anything.
Then, J spoke up, "I think I'm having a existential crisis right now."
"Yeah, tell me about it," replied N, chuckling softly, a soft smile spreading across his face.
Just then, a low groaning noise came from the forest, catching the attention of the two drones. They jolt up from their positions, heads turning behind them. At first, they saw nothing. Just darkness. But then, they saw the faint silhouettes of a group of men. They were slumping side to side, like zombies.
J slowly got up, her body facing the group of silhouettes. N did the same, though, with his left leg down, his left hand had to turn into a sword to help him stand up, the blade piercing the ground.
N's eyes were still hollow. He was practically traumatized from the whole backstory thing. But not J, since she had to live in hiding for thirteen long years.
As they both stood there, the silhouettes of the figures became more defined - they were the seven Atreides soldiers who were kidnapped by Erasmus back at Camp 98.7. Except, Erasmus did something to them...
They were miltulated, with mangled faces, a mixture of white and red, and their knives replaced their right hands.
"P-Please... help us," whispered one zed, their legs buckling under the wight, but still carrying on. To add insult to injury, they were still alive.
J wasn't fazed. She simply switched her hands to swords, her mouth turning into a hungry, cruel smile. N's wings spread out, pulling his legs slightly off the ground, the sword pulling free from the ground.
J, without waiting much time, threw herself into the zeds. She chopped off the head of the first one, with blood spewing out of the wound as it fell to the ground. The second one reacted, attacking J with a jab with the sword. She dodged it just in time, her left sword impaling the zed in the chest. N looked on in awe as J used the second zed as a shield to the third one, the sword stabbing the second one pathetically. J scoffed, shoving her right sword through the head of the second one and into the third one. The second zed's head fell to the ground with a soft thud, and the third zed coughed blood. The third zed slumped slightly, giving N the courage to fight alongside J. His hands turned into claws, its fingers glinting in the full moon of the exo planet. N, with the help of his wings, threw himself into three other zeds.
N sliced through the fourth zed in a diagonal shaped, letting the two pieces fall to the ground in a pool of blood. N turned his attention to the fifth zed, who aimed the sword up high. N didn't react in time, so the sword fell down, stabbing him in the shoulder. N let out a fierce cry, falling on down to the ground, the fifth zed gaining the upper hand. The zed pulled his sword free from N's shoulder, aiming it over his head. N couldn't help but watch.
Suddenly, J began shooting the zed until it was off N, collapsing near the sixth one.
"Get up!" Shouted J.
Immediately, N got up. Or, well, his wings got him up. N's right sword turned into a Lasgun, pointing it at the sixth without even turning his head. Then, the green laser fired, and the sixth zed was instantly dead.
N's gaze turned to the seventh zed slumping infront of him. N threw himself at the final one, violently biting the zed's neck until it was practically gone. N's mouth was covered in blood. His head pulled away from the mangled mess that was once the zed's neck. Suddenly, a noise caught the attention of N and J, causing them to turn their heads to the left.
It was the eldritch being.
"Giggle," blurted out the eldritch. It was not the voice of Erasmus anymore, but CYN's.
"Big brother," continued the eldritch, "are you really gonna turn on me? Frown."
"Shut up, Cyn!" Yelled out N, pointing the Lasgun directly at the head of V.
"Yeah," Chimed J. Suddenly, the eldritch head began to twitch slightly, before, to N and J's surprise, the claws hurdled towards them at lightning speed. Luckily, they reacted just in time, with N dodging one claw, shooting at the claw, whilst J switched her swords for claws as she prevented the claw from reaching her.
Then, N switched his Lasgun and sword for chainsaws, the sound of it replacing the firing of the firearm. N shoved the chainsaws into the claw, immediately having an affect on the claw, but still not backing down.
As J was clashing with her own claw, it retreated. Instead, the claw was replaced with the head of the eldritch, who dipped it's head lower, devouring J's head. Literally.
J began screaming in pain, her hands shooting out to try and pull the head away, but it hold firm. Oil began spewing out of her head, and her syringe tail, while stabbing the neck of the eldritch, didn't stop it. It pulled J off the ground, her legs kicking and flailing wildly as her head was continuing to be devoured upon.
Then, just as soon as it started it, it stopped. The corpse of J fell down, her head now only a stump. N looked down pitifully at the corpse, then back at the eldritch, who was looking down at J's dead body. Slowly, the head turned to N, "care to join in, Big Brother?" A tentacle reached out to N. He simply chuckled, just as menacingly as Erasmus, "why, yes!"
Suddenly, N threw himself at the eldritch, chainsaw hands spinning in circles as he began to sever one of the eldritch's claws. At first, it was hard, but, with some force put into it, the claw fell to the ground, shaking the ground slightly. The head of the eldritch looked at the severed claw, then back at N, who looked back with a malicious grin. The eldritch swung the other claw at him, which was met by a dodge.
N chuckled menacingly, "that all you got, lil sis?"
Before the eldritch can react, N's right chainsaw turned into a Lasun, aimed it at the head, then shot at it.
Direct hit. The eldritch was hit. It recoiled back, a burning hole in V's visor.
"Sorry," taunted N, replacing his Lasgun with the chainsaw.
"Angy," blurted out the eldritch, before shooting itself at N. He responded with the same thing, shooting himself at the eldritch, his chainsaws out infront of him.
N tore the neck of the eldritch open, before crawling straight in.
"Get out, you fool," commanded the eldritch, tentacles slipping inside the neck in a desperate bid to get N out.
After some digging in, N got to the eldritch's heart. His smile faltered, his neon yellow eyes illuminating the beating heart. Upon hearing the sloppy noises of the tentacles entering, N quickly responded... with stabbing the heart with both chainsaws. Oil instantly began spewing out, which fueled N's cruel desire. Outside, the eldritch began screeching, an ear-piercing one. It arched it's back for a few seconds, before collapsing onto the ground, it's teeth piercing the ground.
There was nothing. No movement. Just the noise of the blizzard. Then, suddenly, N's left chainsaw pierced through the eldritch, ripping through it in a line. His hands replaced the chainsaw, ripping the wound wide open. Immediately, N's figure popped out, covered in oil.
"Well, that was shorter than I thought," N blurted out, stepping out of the now-dead eldritch corpse. He began to dry himself like a dog, shaking the oil off him, but some clung on to him.
N stood there, frozen, a satisfied smile on his face.
One threat down, one to go, thought N.
Then, the noise of a twig snapping caught the attention of N, causing him to turn his head to the left. He saw the figure of Erasmus, his right hand holding something.
"Got you a little present while you were away," Erasmus cooed, his right hand reaching out. Erasmus was gripping the core of Uzi.
"U-Uzi?!" Stammered N. Uzi, who just gained conscience, looked at N with hollow eyes, "N?!"
"Now, N, here's an ultimatum," began Erasmus, "I'll spare your little friend's life, and, in return, you help me in bringing out a second Butlerian Jihad! This time, to the humans."
There was a long pause, before he continued, "but if you refuse, then..." Erasmus trailed off, but the fingers on his right hand stopped gripping Uzi's core, instead, it stretched itself, now pointing itself at Uzi, making it clear what he means.
"N! Pick the second option!" Yelled out Uzi, one of her three legs placing itself on Erasmus' claw.
"Second option?! Are you insane?!" N yelled out, stomping his left foot on the ground.
"Ten seconds," chimed Erasmus, his golden mask, which was broken in half by Uzi, glinted in the dark. "Ten..."
"O-Okay!" Stammered N, digital tears forming in his eyes, "I picked the second option!"
The counting stopped. Erasmus didn't move a muscle, N looked at Uzi, and Uzi looked back.
Suddenly, with no other movement in him, Erasmus impaled Uzi's core with his three golden claws. In response, Uzi's neon purple eyes turned hollow.
"N-No," muttered N, a tear escaping from his eyes.
