"I mean, what you said was true." Skeppy sat down on the end of the bed.
"Yeah but it was mean." Bad rubbed his face. "I feel awful. I shouldn't of said that to him." Bad was at his desk, tidying it. He had gotten in a small argument with Foolish.
"Well it's true. I don't understand why he whined over having to go out to the store. You were right, me and you do more. We need rest. He has no classes, no job, and no concussion induced migraines."
Bad sighed and rubbed at his eyes. He didn't want to cry. "It's true but I was mean about it. He's tired too. You know he hasn't slept in days because of Étoiles. He feels responsible for what happened to Étoiles."
"Well yeah...but still..." Skeppy started to pull back the blankets on the bed. "He has to do more...he doesn't really do anything here but sit around and look hot. We love him but if he doesn't start doing something, it's going to cause a lot of problems. He doesn't even clean. He's home like all the time."
"Yeah..." Bad stood up and went to the dresser to get a pair of pajama pants. "I think Foolish will get better though. He's never had any responsibility or even a serious relationship. We need to be patient. We knew that from the start."
"He's been here a month...he really has to start cleaning. If his parents give him an allowance, fine. He doesn't have to work. But I think he should still help out around the apartment."
"Yeah..."
🏪🏪🏪
"That all?" Asked the cashier.
"Yes."
Foolish paid and took the tiny bag off the counter. On his way out he stopped by the advertisement board. But instead of finding a job that interested him, he found something non-paying. He pulled a tab off the advertisement and left the store.
The store wasn't far from the apartment so it didn't take long for him to come through the door again.
"I'm back!" Foolish called out.
Bad came out of the bedroom all cozy and ready for bed. He took the bag from Foolish. "Thank you, muffin." Bad kissed him. "I'm sorry that I was mean. I'm really sleepy and stressed. But I shouldn't of snapped at you."
"It's okay, I have been lazy I guess." Foolish pulled the tab out of his pocket. "I saw an ad for something I might want to do...If it's okay? It's not a job but you told me I have to start doing more important things and this looks like something fulfilling that I can enjoy..."
"Oh? Of course you can do it. What is it?" Bad smiled. He loved seeing Skeppy get excited about the future. Now he got to see Foolish improving his future too.
"The children's home is looking for volunteers to help with a sports week they are having...and I mean... I like sports?"
Bad looked shocked. "Oh– I wasn't expecting something so– noble."
"Jesus, thanks. You think I'm a selfish asshole."
"No! Sorry I just meant– Foolish it's not easy to work with kids in a crisis."
"The ad said that no degree is needed. It's just to help set up and that kind of thing. Anyone can do that."
"Yeah but..." Bad hesitated. "You know what, I'm so proud of you. It is an amazing thing to do and it'll get you being productive. Just be careful. It might be a bit overwhelming. Some of those kids might be really difficult. Being homeless...and most of them are orphans."
"I know... I'm going to go to their website and look into it more. It's just a week. And it's not like I'd be alone. They have people trained to deal with difficult children."
"Alright." Bad kissed him again. "You should do it, I think you'd do a good job. You've got the kind of fun laid back personality that a lot of kids like."
"Really?"
"Mhm. I'm going to bed with Skeppy now. I know I have been sleeping in your bed but Skeppy asked me to be with him tonight because he misses me."
Foolish pouted. "The pains of polyamory."
"One day we'll have a bigger bed." Bad giggled.
Foolish nodded. "Yeah...can I ask you something?"
"Hm?"
"Do your parents still not know...about like...you being gay and Skeppy?"
Bad froze up.
"I know you like to forget about it and just live your life but...it does worry me. I mean if we're going to be together then one day we will have to tell our parents. And you haven't even told your parents that you like boys."
Bad rubbed his shoulder. "Do your parents know?"
"Well I think my mom knows. One time I got into an argument with her because she caught me with a girl in my room. She told me I'm only allowed to have other guys over. I told her that wouldn't stop me from doing anything inappropriate."
"Oh my gosh." Bad laughed. "You're ridiculous...my parents don't know. Skeppy's know. Well they know about me, but not you. His mom likes me and his dad is a little...not homophobic but a little skeptical. Supportive even though he doesn't understand it, I guess."
Foolish nodded. "I think you should work on telling your parents."
"I will, but right now life is too stressful. I have classes, Skeppy is having migraines all the time, Étoiles is in the hospital, Tina is heartbroken, Bagi has a search investigation going on for her...it's a lot."
"I know..." Foolish hugged Bad. "It's a lot, but it'll be okay."

"Duerme, mi amor." {Sleep, my love.} Roier kissed Cellbit's temple. "There's nothing here."
"No, something is here." Cellbit was laying on the bed. His eyes were held open unnaturally wide as he looked around the room. "Hay alguien aquí." {There is someone here.}
"No hay nada aquí." {There is nothing here.} Roier got up and turned on all the lights. He gestured around the hotel room. "¿Ver?" {See?} "Nada." {Nothing.}
Cellbit sat up and pulled his knees up to his chest. "In the walls."
"No, Cariño." {No, sweetheart.}
"En las paredes." {In the walls.} Cellbit stared behind Roier.
Roier turned around, paranoid. There was nothing there. "Detener." {Stop.} Roier sat on the bed. "You're crazy."
"You love crazy."
Roier rubbed his face. "I love sleep. You go to bed. En este minuto." {This minute.}
Cellbit relaxed his eyes. "I don't feel safe."
"Entiendo." {I understand.} Roier laid down and sighed. "I am here. Yo te protegeré." {I will protect you.}
Cellbit crawled over and laid with his head on Roier. "Lo siento, te amo." {I'm sorry, I love you.}

The castle was large, and fallen in some places. Places no longer visited by any one. Bagi hid herself in one of the damaged parts of the castle, thinking if she killed him, maybe that would fix everything. But she didn't know that Roier had already moved Cellbit somewhere else. She was hiding for no reason. Roier already suspected she was there. Cellbit wouldn't be left unattended.
