"Pretty much..." Foolish added.
"What are you saying?!" Bad quickly wrapped his arms around Tina to comfort her.
"She's...dying." Foolish clenched his jaw. He didn't know what was true and what wasn't. He felt outside of his own body.
Bad pushed some hair out of Tina's face. "We're all right here." He hadn't noticed the obvious absence of Valerie. "Deep breaths, come sit on Foolish's bed. Or you can lay down. Come on, darling." Bad led Tina to the bedroom so she could ache somewhere more comfortable.
The mood in the apartment must've been thick because Skeppy got up and headed out into the hall. "What's going on?"
"I don't know." Bad said softly while ushering Tina into Foolish's room. He was relieved to see it looked impressively clean. Not that Tina would care right now. Right now she could lay on burning garbage and not know the difference.
"Something with Bagi." Foolish stood in the hall with Skeppy. "I don't know... something about Bagi, they found her. But she's..."
Tina cried as she sat on the bed. "They told me she'll probably be dead by the time I even get to the hospital!"
Bad sat with her, holding her close. "Okay, okay. Just focus on me. I need you to stabilize yourself so you can explain what they told you."
Foolish looked at Skeppy. "She just told me they found Bagi at Cellbit's castle, near dead. Severely injured..."
Skeppy covered his face. Immediately nauseated. The idea of death was horrid enough but his migraine didn't help. "Jesus Christ...the fuck happened?"
"I...don't know. Something not good, obviously." Foolish laughed painfully. Flinching as the others glared at him. He just wanted to laugh, to act like the world wasn't crumbling around them.
🏥🏥🏥
Foolish drove Tina to the hospital since she couldn't stop crying. Leaving Bad at home with Skeppy who was throwing up.
"It's okay, muffin..." Bad rubbed his back. "It's not actually okay but...we need to keep it together for Tina."
Skeppy groaned. "Why does everything have to happen at once?"
"I don't know honey..." Bad sighed and rested his face against Skeppy's back. "what the heck happened to Bagi? I'm hoping Tina will say more tomorrow."
Skeppy rubbed his face and sat against the bathroom door. "I want my mom..."
"Call your mom, darling."
Skeppy sighed. "She's gonna tell me to come home."
Bad moved to sit against the door and leaned his head on Skeppy. "Do you want to go home?"
"Kind of... everything that's been going on makes me feel like a child. I want my mom to tell me what I'm supposed to do."
"Yeah..." Bad closed his eyes. "I wish I had a better home to go back to. But I'm better off here. You should talk to your mom though...maybe go back for a little bit."
"You should come home with me." Skeppy started playing with Bad's tangled hair, being careful not to yank on it.
"I have classes."
