Hazel's POV:

Hazel had been pacing her room for the better part of an hour, her mind spinning with thoughts about Peri. He was nice—too nice, almost. Something about him felt... off. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to him than met the eye. With a huff, she decided she needed answers.

"Cosmo, Wanda, can we talk?" Hazel called out, plopping down on her bed.

In an instant, her fairy godparents poofed into existence. Cosmo, as always, appeared upside down, while Wanda hovered beside him, already looking concerned.

"What's up, Hazel?" Wanda asked, her tone motherly and attentive.

"It's about Peri," Hazel began, folding her arms. "Why him? Why did you send him to Y/N instead of some other guy?"

Cosmo exchanged a quick, nervous glance with Wanda before he cleared his throat, trying to play it cool. "Oh, Peri? Well, he's... uh... special! And, um, you know, special people need special friends!"

Wanda elbowed him lightly, shooting him a look. "What Cosmo means is that Peri was the best choice for Y/N. He understands her in ways that others might not."

Hazel narrowed her eyes, suspicion growing. "But why? There are lots of nice people out there. Why does it feel like there's more to this than you're telling me?"

Wanda sighed, knowing that Hazel wouldn't be satisfied with vague answers. She and Cosmo shared another glance, a silent exchange passing between them.

"Well," Wanda started, her voice taking on a more serious tone, "there is something you should know. It's not that we sent Peri... It's more like Peri was meant to find Y/N."

Hazel's confusion only deepened. "What do you mean? Meant to find her?"

Cosmo, usually so carefree, was unusually tense. "Peri isn't just some random guy, Hazel. He's, um, he's also a fairy."

Hazel's jaw dropped. "Wait, what? Peri's a fairy?!"

Wanda nodded, bracing herself for the full revelation. "Yes, and not just any fairy. He's... our son. You know him as Peri, but his real name is Poof."

Hazel's mind raced as she tried to process this bombshell. "Your son?! So, he's Y/N's fairy godparent?"

Cosmo nodded, his usual goofiness replaced by a rare seriousness. "Exactly. We didn't send him—he chose her. And that's why he's been so protective of her. They're bonded now, just like we're bonded to you."

Hazel was silent for a moment, the weight of this information settling in. It made sense now—the way Peri had fit into their lives so seamlessly, his intense connection with Y/N, and his almost magical presence. It all added up.

"But why didn't you tell me this before?" Hazel asked, her voice laced with hurt.

Wanda floated closer, her expression soft. "We wanted to, but we also wanted Peri to reveal himself in his own time. He cares about Y/N a lot, Hazel. We didn't want to rush things or overwhelm her."

Hazel nodded slowly, her mind still spinning with the revelation. "So, what happens now? Does Y/N know about you guys and that I have fairy godparents?"

"Not yet," Wanda said gently. "But she will soon enough. Just be there for her, Hazel. This is a lot for anyone to take in."

Hazel nodded, determination settling in. "I will. Thanks for telling me."

As her fairy godparents poofed away, Hazel sat on her bed, still trying to wrap her head around everything. Peri—Poof—was a fairy. And Y/N's fairy godparent, no less. This changed everything. But one thing was clear: whatever was coming next, she needed to be ready for it.
