A/N----- don't hate me for this ok but I really love this song rn but I'm very in my teen angst right now so here we go....

------------------

The battlefield was chaos. Smoke filled the air, and the sound of clashing metal, explosions, and desperate cries echoed across the desolate landscape. Heroes and villains alike fought with everything they had, knowing this could be the final stand. Among the fray, two figures stood back-to-back, moving with a deadly grace that spoke of years spent fighting together.

Katsuki Bakugou and Ochaco Uraraka had come a long way since their days at U.A. High School. They were no longer the bright-eyed students who dreamed of becoming heroes—they were heroes, seasoned by battle and hardened by loss. But even after all the battles, they had never lost sight of what they were fighting for.

"Bakugou, behind you!" Ochaco called out, her voice cutting through the din as she dodged an incoming attack. Without missing a beat, Bakugou spun around, a powerful explosion erupting from his palm and taking down the enemy in one swift motion.

"Don't need you to tell me, Round Face," he growled, but there was a hint of a smirk on his lips. It was the same banter they had always shared, even in the darkest of times.

But this battle was different. This time, they knew the odds were against them. The villains they were facing were stronger, more organized, and more ruthless than anything they had encountered before. And as the minutes dragged on, the weight of the fight began to take its toll.

Ochaco's breath came in ragged gasps as she deflected another attack, her body screaming in protest. She could feel her strength waning, but she pushed forward, knowing that they had to keep fighting, that they couldn't afford to give up. Not now, not when so much was at stake.

Bakugou wasn't faring much better. His explosions were less frequent, his movements slower. But his eyes still burned with that same fierce determination, that unyielding resolve that had always driven him. He wasn't going to stop until the last breath left his body.

They fought side by side, covering each other's weaknesses, compensating for each other's fading strength. And for a while, it felt like they might just make it through.

But then came the moment they both feared. An enemy they hadn't seen—a figure shrouded in darkness—launched a powerful attack that neither of them could avoid. Bakugou moved on instinct, throwing himself in front of Ochaco, taking the full brunt of the blast. The force of it sent him crashing to the ground, and for a terrifying moment, everything went silent.

"Katsuki!" Ochaco screamed, rushing to his side, her heart pounding in her chest. She dropped to her knees beside him, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch his face. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and his breaths were shallow, but he was still alive.

"Damn it... Uraraka," he rasped, his voice barely above a whisper. "Why... why the hell... did you let that happen?"

Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision. "Kats, please, just hold on. We can still—"

"Shut up," he cut her off, a small, pained smile tugging at his lips. "You... always were... too damn soft."

She choked back a sob, her tears falling freely now as she cradled his head in her lap. The battle raged on around them, but in that moment, it felt like they were the only two people in the world.

"You did good, Uraraka," he said, his voice growing weaker. "You... you were always... a better hero... than I was."

"Don't say that," she whispered, her voice breaking. "You're the strongest person I've ever known. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you."

He chuckled, the sound strained and filled with pain. "Yeah, well... I guess... we both... got each other... this far."

His hand reached up, weakly grasping hers. She squeezed it tightly, as if trying to hold onto him, to keep him with her just a little longer.

"Katsuki, please," she begged, her voice trembling. "Don't leave me. I can't do this without you."

He looked up at her, his crimson eyes softening, and for the first time in a long time, he let himself be vulnerable. "You'll be... just fine... Uraraka. You... you always find a way."

A tear slid down her cheek, and she leaned down, pressing her forehead against his. "I love you, Katsuki," she whispered, her voice filled with all the emotions she had kept hidden for so long.

His lips curved into a small smile, the last of his strength fading. "I know," he whispered back. "And... I think... I always... loved you too."

With that, his eyes fluttered closed, his body going limp in her arms. Ochaco held him close, her tears falling freely now, her heart breaking as she felt him slip away.

But even as the pain threatened to consume her, she couldn't help but smile through her tears. Because in his final moments, he had found peace. He had died with a smile, knowing he wasn't alone, knowing he was loved.

And in that, there was a bittersweet kind of comfort. She would carry his memory with her, and she would keep fighting, just as he would have wanted.

For Katsuki Bakugou, the hero who never gave up, who faced every battle with a fierce grin, and who, in the end, died with a smile.
