Chapter 3
Second incident

Victoria just stood the in confusion and disbelief. After snapping back into reality she walked back up the stairs, opened the gate and locked it behind her. Walking quickly and quietly, she placed the keys on the table, where they were before. The guards were luckily still asleep. Lifting her dress she ran up the stairs. Returning to her new home she closed the door behind her, locking it. "Where were you?" Gaius voice came from behind her. "It's 7 o'clock in the morning." He exclaimed. She turned around to see Merlin and Gaius sitting eating their breakfast.
"Is it? I must have lost track of time. I just went for a walk." Victoria explained.
"Why?" Merlin asked confusion written on his face.
"I couldn't sleep so I thought I may as well explore my new home." Victoria smiled. Silenced filled the room."So what's for breakfast." Victoria broke the silence and walked towards the pair. She sat opposite of the two.
"Here." Gaius handed her a bowl of food.
"Thank you." Victoria smiled. She began eating her food. Merlin had already finished his and began standing up.
"Merlin, can you please go and give this to Lady Helen?" Gaius asked, handing Merlin a bottle of yellow liquid. "She'll need it for her voice." Merlin took the liquid and exited the room.

Victoria continued eating. "So where actually were you?" Gaius asked looking through a book.
"I told you I went for a walk." Victoria explained. Gaius looked up from the book and at the girl.
"Victoria, don't lie please." Gaius told the girl.
"Fine. Don't tell Merlin. I went to see Kilgharrah." She told him.
"What?" Gaius dropped the book and stared in disbelief at the girl. "Why?" He asked.
"He kept calling my name." She explained.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Gaius asked.
"I didn't know what was happening. And I didn't want people to think I was going insane. So last night I followed the voice and it lead me to him." Victoria replied.
"What did he tell you?" Gaius asked.
"He told me I was the last dragon lord." Victoria answered. "What does that mean?" She asked, a worried look appeared on her face. Gaius sighed and went over to his bookshelf. He then grabbed a book. Victoria just looked at him even more confused. Gaius opened the book. While walking towards Victoria he flicked through the pages. He then lay the book in front of her on the table. Victoria looked down at the book. The title at the top of the page read 'dragon lords'. Victoria's face lit up. She quickly looked at Gaius then back down to the page. While she began to read Gaius walked into a different room. "Dragon lords are men who are able to speak to and tame their spiritual brothers, the dragons." She read out loud. "Men?" She said to herself. Gaius heard the annoyance in her voice.
"There aren't many women who are dragon lords." Gaius said to the girl.
"Well, still a bit frustrating." She sighed. "Wait, so how does he speak to me in my mind?" Victoria asked.
"Its just what he can do." Gaius explained.
"Okay, so how am I last one? It says it's pasted down generations. What about Merlin?" Victoria questioned.
"I'm sorry Victoria, I'm not sure. You could asked the dragon." Gaius suggested.
"Okay, I'll speak to him tonight." Victoria agreed. The girl closed the book and walked over to bookshelf, where Gaius had gotten it from. Placing the book on the bookshelf and smiled to herself.

"I'm going to go for a walk." Victoria told Gaius.
"Oh, okay bye Victoria." Gaius told the girl. Victoria opened the door, "bye Gaius. I won't be too long." She said then exited their home. Victoria walked down the stairs after shutting the door behind her. The girl then walked through the courtyard and out into the streets of Camelot. A crowd was gathered. Victoria pushed her way through the crowd to the front. Standing beside her was Edward. "Victoria?" He asked.
"Oh Edward, hello. What's going on?" The brunette asked, looking up at the other brunette.
"Someone got into a fight with the Prince." Edward answered. Suddenly the prince fell in front of the two onto some hay.
"Do you want to give up, do you?" Her brothers voice asked the prince. Merlin looked up to see his sisters disapproving look. He then looked through the crowd to see Gaius with the same look. After seeing Gaius face, Merlin froze at the thought of disappointing his sister and Gaius again. That's when Arthur quickly stood up with a broom in his hand. After getting hit once in the stomach then in the chest and then the head, Merlin fell to the floor. Arthur looked into the crowd to see Victoria. The guards picked Merlin up and before they dragged him off Arthur spoke up.
"Wait, let him go. He may be an idiot but he's a brave one." Arthur told the to guards. He then turned to Merlin. "There's something about you, Merlin. I can't quite put my finger on it." Arthur told the boy. The prince then walked away the guards following behind. Merlin then got smacked on the back of the head.
"What is wrong with you? I told you don't get into another fight with him. And what do you do? You get into another fight with him. Honestly, Merlin how stupid are you?" Victoria scolded the boy. Gaius then approached the pair.
"You two, get home, now." Gaius told the siblings. Victoria stormed off. Merlin followed not far behind her.

The door flung open as Victoria entered. The girl sat down on a stool and ran her fingers through her hair. "How could you be so foolish?" Gaius said shutting the door. Merlin ignored his comment and began heading to his and Victoria's shared room. Then he stopped.
"He needed to be taught a lesson." Merlin explained.
"Magic must be studied and mastered for good, not for idiotic pranks." Gaius told the boy. Victoria's eyes flickered between the two as they argued.
"What is there to master? I could move objects like that before I could talk." Merlin argued.
"Then by now you should know how to control yourself." Gaius argued back.
"I don't want to. If I can't use magic what have I got?" Merlin asked. Victoria face dropped at his words. "I'm just a nobody. And I always will be. If I can't use magic I may as well die." After Merlin said that he stormed off to his room. Victoria watched as her brother closed the door. Gaius looked at the girl, she looked back annoyed at the man. She then too stormed off into the room.
