Where Walt got the idea
Back when Walt Disney's daughters Sharon and Dianne were kids, Mrs Disney used to read them the Winnie the Pooh stories at night.
Walt always heard the girls laughing and he could tell they were really enjoying these stories.
Then one day, he called the studio and asked if they knew anything about Winnie the Pooh.
A member of the crew, X. Atencio, told Walt he'd heard about the stories when he was in England during the great World War 2.
Walt agreed that it was a great story and told his crew he wanted to make a movie of it.
And they did!
