Nightpaw rested at the entrance of the apprentices den, watching the pouring rain outside the den entrance. She wished she could be out there, training with her brother.

She turned from looking outside and looked around at the den. The apprentice's den was large, with moss nests covering the ground; there were the older apprentices, Shiningpaw and Frecklepaw, and the younger apprentices Narrowpaw, Petalpaw, and Ryepaw, Shiningpaw and Frecklepaw Shiningpaw and Frecklepaw they would soon be warriors and no longer sleeping in the apprentice's den. Nightpaw curled in her nest hoping to sleep through the storm. Then she felt Haypaw poke her, and Nightpaw looked up at his mischievous face, "What now?" she groaned, putting her head back down.

"Don't you wanna explore?" He asked, still grinning, "In this weather? No thanks." Nightpaw meowed, "Come on, the storm is bound to go on all day, and we could go into one of the tunnels the older warriors have been working on!" Haypaw continued, pulling her tail in an attempt to drag her out of her nest, "We? Who's we?" she said, taking her tail back and sitting up to look at her brother, "You and me! I wanna see what Ryepaw found that he's been going on about!" Haypaw's grin only widened, "Yeah, we're not tunnelers! I don't think new moor runner apprentices are allowed to goof off in the tunnels!" Nightpaw yelped, she took a glance at the other sleeping apprentices and lowered her voice, "We're not kits, we shouldn't be getting into trouble," "But no one will be out there in this storm, it's my chance to see what Ryepaw found while tunneling!" Haypaw purred in a sing-song voice, Nightpaw thought for a moment, she didn't want to make her mentor angry with her, and what if the tunnels collapsed? What would they do then? But if they were quick nothing bad would happen right?

Nightpaw stood up and sighed, "Yes, let's go."

Before Nightpaw knew it they were sneaking through an empty camp, and before Nightpaw snuck through the entrance to the camp she thought she felt eyes on her, when Nightpaw turned around to see it was only Speckledkit at the entrance to the nursery, watching her, then she quickly ran through the entrance to the camp.

Haypaw lead her towards Outlook Rock, where their mentors had shown them the territory. Haypaw then showed her a tunnel next to Outlook rock going into the ground. Haypaw flicked his tail, meaning for her to follow him, Nightpaw followed him down the tunnel nervously.

As they walked down the long tunnel the enclosed space was starting to make her panic a little bit, then Haypaw stopped and pointed to a smaller tunnel that didn't look nearly as stable as the rest of the tunnel, but she followed him in anyway. They soon reached an area with enough light to see what was in front of them.

"See, this is what I found, cool right?" he asked, pawing something in front of him, Nightpaw walked over to see, it was a small glowing cluster of crystals, glowing blue and pink, "It looks like how the moonstone would look like," Nightpaw said in wonder, "Do you think it does work like the moonstone would?" her littermate asked, "I'll keep watch while you see if it does," Haypaw walked to the small entrance to the tunnel, Nightpaw took a breath, then crouched down and pressed her nose to it, closing her eyes, she sat there for a moment, then when she opened her eyes and yelped in alarm.

A white and light gray cat sat in front of her, glowing and almost looked as if they were made of stars, they stood up, and Nightpaw noticed that the cat's back legs had scars all over them, and she didn't have a tail but only a numb of fluff, and one of their eyes was blue and the other was yellow. Nightpaw looked around, they were in a glowing sunny plains, then the cat suddenly spoke, in a wind chime voice.

"I've been waiting for you, Nightpaw." They meowed, "Me?" Nightpaw asked, confused, "Who are you?" "My name is Graydeer, from long before you," they said, "Why have you been waiting for me? If you're a StarClan cat, why not speak to the medicine cat?" Nightpaw asked, "I need to speak to you directly, you are the one that needs to keep the balance of peace." Graydeer said, "What?" "You need to hear this prophecy, then will you understand," Graydeer's eyes turned white and the wind started to howl, "The night skies jaw will speak this. The calling bird and the blizzards fallen leaf, they shall begin a war, they fight of great storms and shadows, the thistle may have blood stains on their claws but didn't kill, and one may die but will not arrive in StarClan, Two kits, silk and string will have a bond that may revive death." Graydeer then pointed at Nightpaw, "Now wake up!" her voice boomed almost like thunder.
