I Just Want My Friend Back (Jean K. x OC Reader)

As we all continued to stand there, shocked at the sight of Eren right in front of us. None of his limbs were missing and he looked completely fine. The only unusual thing from him are a streak of lines under his eyes after popping out of that Titan body. 

The response team eventually showed up and we were immediately ordered to retreat back to the inner walls. Those of us who did stayed behind sworn to secrecy to not tell anyone about Eren's condition. 

I saw the team guide Armin, Mikasa and the still unconscious Eren somewhere else, away from the rest of us. 

Once we did made it back through the inner walls, my wound was immediately tended by the medical teams as they administered some sort of pain killer for me so I could keep fighting. 

I don't know what they gave me but I was feeling better and felt like I could go and continue fighting. I caught up with Jean and Marco and we debriefed about what we just witnessed.

"What do you think is going to happen to them?" I asked.

"I don't know. It's probably not going to be pretty." Jean said.

"I think they're going to interrogate them about how Eren was able to be alive after getting eaten by a titan." Marco added, looking worried about the fate of our friends. 

My mind was ruminating with questions as they've been left unanswered;

How did Eren survive?

Was he actually that titan?

If so, how was he able to control it?

How did he BECOME a titan?

If only my Mother was still alive that I could ask her such questions. Maybe I could find her research partner then, whoever that is. She never told me their name....

"Oh! Thank goodness you guys are alive!" Krista yelled as she ran towards us.

Ymir joined her too and eyed each of us. "The hell happened to all of you? Y'all look as if you've seen a ghost or something." 

"You could say something like that." Connie said while rubbing the back of his head.

"Did you all just come back from the supply headquarters?" Krista asked.

"Yeah." Marco said.

I looked at Jean and noticed that something was bothering him.

"What's wrong Jean?" I asked him.

"I just still don't get it." He said. "How is that idiot alive? Better yet, how the hell did he pop out of that titans body?"

"We all have those questions in mind Jean. I just wonder what the police is going to do with him." I said.

I spotted Annie and she was spacing out.

"Hey Annie." I called out to her while walking towards her.

She stopped her train of thought and passed me a small wave. "How's your leg?"

"It's better. Don't really feel pain anymore."

"That's good." She stared off again. It seemed as if something on was her mind.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, looking at her.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Just thinking about something." She said.

"Oh. Alright."

I pulled out my locket and clenched on it. I gave some silent prayers to my parents and wishing for safety for myself and my friends.
