Anita's eyes opened. She got up and looked in the mirror, a teenager stared back at her... Then she looked over at the calendar. The date was a year later. How could she be a teenager when she was only a little child a year ago? This was a little confusing for her right now. Maybe she should ask her parents how this happened. The only thing was if this was a dream, then there wouldn't be any answer, or was there? Anita then saw a shadow. She did not know what the shadow was. It was getting closer and closer to her. Then she saw a face, a face which scared her.
"Ahhh!"
Anita shot up from her bed and looked around frantically to see if the shadow was in her room. The shadow wasn't there. Anita got out of bed to find her mother and daddy.
Emmett and Tanya decided to head to bed after they checked on Anita. They paid the babysitter. They had just gotten in bed when they heard a scream from Anita's room. They got out of bed and headed to her room.
Emmett and Tanya bumped into Anita as she came down the hall. They looked down at her. From the way she stood, they could tell she had a bad dream.
"Anita, you okay?" asked Tanya.
"Yes, I am fine," Anita told them.
"Did you have a bad dream?" Emmett asked his daughter. He had his hand wrapped around Tanya's waist. Anita nodded her head.
"Do you want to sleep with us?" asked Tanya. She looked at her daughter. Anita looked at her parents and nodded her head. Emmett untangled himself from Tanya and picked her up. They walked back to their room and got into bed and fell asleep. They had no idea what was going on with Dominic and Polaris.
Blake needed to get food into his stomach. He had not had anything since breakfast, which was nine hours ago. He saved the document he worked on then he logged out of his computer. Then he got up and left his office.
He walked over to the cafeteria and picked up a tuna sandwich, Maui sweet onion chips, and strawberry lemonade that had fresh strawberry in it. He went over to the cash register and saw Ceecee who stood behind it. He knew it was either to deal with her or not eat. His stomach grumbled. He looked down at his stomach. It made his decision for him. He went over to the cash register. Ceecee looked up, when she saw who was standing in front of her, a smile appeared on her face.
"Blake darling, how are you?" said Ceecee, as her white teeth shone.
"I'm okay, how much do I owe you?" Blake asked, hoping she got the hint he was not in the mood to talk to her. She rang up the three items. The total appeared on the screen. Blake saw the total, which was twelve dollars and seventy-five cents.
Blake took out his wallet and handed her a twenty. Ceecee took the money. The till opened and she took out five, two ones, and a quarter. She handed it to Blake. She closed the till with a smile on her face. Blake turned and left the cafeteria.
Once in his office he closed the door. He set the tray on the desk and sat down. He started to eat. He was halfway done when the phone rang. Blake swallowed before he picked the phone up.
There was silence on the line at first. He waited to see if someone would speak. After a second, he spoke.
"Hello."
"Mr. Cameron."
"Yes, who is this?"
"This is Kingstone Riker."
Blake straightened up. Mr. Riker was in charge of a special unit. He wasn't sure what unit he was in charge of.
"I know you know BlackKnight. I would like to recruit you and BlackKnight to my team."
