"Tell the world about our relationship," Alex said.
"Alex, I am fine with it. I am going to be eighteen in a few days. If my parents do not like you, it is going to be their problem, not mine," Scarlett said.
"Okay," Alex said as they got back into the car and headed to the mall.
Scarlett made it there in record time. They got out of the car and headed into the mall. Alex was at the door. Scarlett grabbed his hand and entwined his hand in hers.
"Let's go shopping. I want to buy something for you since we haven't seen each other for a really long time," Alex said. Scarlett gave him a kiss. When they were done, they started to walk around the mall.
It was on the second floor Alex saw a ring shop. He knew then he wanted to marry her. He was going to buy an engagement ring right now. Alex gently pulled her toward the ring store, and Scarlett let herself be pulled toward it. She really did not think about it at the moment.
They walked into the store. He hoped the proposal would be a surprise.
"Scarlett, I would like to ask you a question," Alex said.
"Sure."
Alex looked over at her.
"Scarlett Marie Mallory Lanakia Sandeigo. Would you do the honor of being my wife?" Alex said. Scarlett looked at him.
"Yes. I will marry you," Scarlett said as she hugged him and gave him a kiss.
"Now we can get the ring," Alex said, as they started into the ring store. Tosh was behind them, a little shocked at the news.
Alex looked over at the rings, then he looked over at Scarlett. He could tell the love in her eyes. It was a great feeling to be in love.
"Pick anything, any ring you want. Actually, pick out the engagement ring and we can pick out the wedding rings," Alex said. Scarlett looked at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, it doesn't matter how much. I have a good sum saved up so don't worry about the money," Alex said.
"Okay," Scarlett said.
She looked over the rings that were displayed. She gazed at the rings; they were all great looking. She needed to pick out two of the rings, which would be hers for life. Scarlett saw the duplicity ring; it was the one she wanted for the engagement ring. She pointed to the two she wanted.
"I want this one for the engagement ring," Scarlett said, pointing to one in a case closest to her. "This other one can be the wedding ring."
Scarlett pointed to another ring in the case next to the one that had the engagement ring. Alex saw the rings she had picked. They were nice and not too expensive.
"Those are nice rings you have picked out," Alex said. The salesperson got the two rings out from their cases.
"Are you paying for your purchase by cash, credit, or check?" the salesperson asked.
"I will be paying by credit card," Alex said. They moved to the register with their purchase. The salesperson rang him up.
"It would be two thousand and fifty-seven dollars and thirty-two cents," the salesperson said.
Alex gave him his card. The salesperson took the card and ran it through the machine. He gave the card back to him then got the receipt to sign. Alex signed the receipt and gave it back to him. The salesperson gave the bag with the rings in them to Alex.
