"So you're single?"

"Yes." I'm alone.

"You're hot, wanna go out?"

"Nope."

Maka walked away from yet another guy who was hitting on her, ignoring his pleas to come back. She hated how she was treated by most guys, like just another stupid girl they wanted to make out with. Maka wasn't that stupid, and every time a guy even tried, she would turn them down.
Maka crossed the small bridge in the park and looked to see small kids laughing and enjoying the slide. She sat down on a bench and watched a little boy and girl make a pinkie promise on the swings. She smiled a warm smile. Not like her other cold smiles she gave, this smile was filled with happiness and delight.
She felt the presence of someone else on the bench, and she tried to ignore it. But she really wanted to see who it was. She took a quick glance their way to see another guy. Oh great. White hair, red eyes, and shark teeth. What kind of weirdo was this?
Maka got up and walked to the swings, avoiding the guy. She was rocking back and forth on her swing very slowly, not even pumping her legs to increase speed.
The guy who had been on the bench was now next to her again. Maka decided to confront him.

"Why are you following me?" She asked.

"Reasons."

"WHAT REASONS? WHO ARE YOU ANYWAY?" Maka whisper yelled.

"I'm Soul, and I'm following you because I want to." He replied.

"Why do you want to? I'm not a stupid girl who makes out with one guy only for him to go find some giant chested bimbo to dump me with. So just leave me alone!" Maka whisper yelled again.

Maka walked away, grabbing her book and ignoring everyone else. She just read her book while walking a far distance from that creep.
He walked after her, trying to find a way to get her to talk to him.
"Wanna know why I'm following you? It's because you have a personality! The other people at school don't have that! I just want to... I don't know! You're cute okay? Will you just let someone into your life for once?"

"Fine. Where do you want to go?" She said turning around. "And I'm only doing this to prove I can let someone into my life!"

Soul had just scored a date with Maka, the hardest girl to get, and he would never let her go. He put his arm around her, and the two walked to deathbucks. Together.
