Griffin really would need to teach Sathon how to use a gun so there wouldn't be that many situations like this. He shot enough zombies so he could get onto the truck bed and had Sathorn come by him. Sathorn was freaking out but he was a bit less scared not that Griffin was with him. He grabbed Sathorn's hand and put the gun in it. He looked over at Griffin and shook his head. Griffin held onto Sathorn's hands with the gun in it and stood behind him. He pointed the gun at some zombies and pulled the trigger using Sathorn's hands. Sathorn jumped a bit, Griffin kept doing this and Sathorn started paying attention to where he was aiming and when he pulled the trigger. Griffin did this until all the zombies were killed, once done Sathorn looked behind his shoulder back at him. Their faces were very close together and it was then that they both realized they were touching hands this entire time. Griffin cleared his throat and backed up a bit putting his gun away. He then got off the truck bed and grabbed the cart again. Him and Sathorn loaded everything up into the truck bed before Griffin asked "Did you figure out how to get gas?" He pointed to the gas pump. Sathorn nodded and pointed to a hole that used to have a lid on it. It did not have a lid anymore as Sathorn managed to get it off with a crowbar he had found. He then grabbed out the dictionary "Just need hand pump" Griffin was surprised at how much better his English was getting. "Hand pump? Where will we get one of those?" Sathorn stared at him for a few moments before shrugging. He didn't completely know what he said but with remembering some words he learned and putting context in he figured it out. "Look in back?" He asked after flipping through the pages again. Griffin nodded and the two headed back into the gas station, they went into the back storage rooms and after looking for a while they managed to find a hand pump. Sathorn knew a lot of gas stations would keep hand pumps in the back for emergencies. They brought the hand pump out front and filled up the gas tank. They got back into the truck and attempted to start it. It took a few tries but finally it started. "การใช้แก๊สหมดอายุจะทำลายเครื่องยนต์ในที่สุด (Using expired gas will destroy the engine eventually)" Griffin, not knowing what he meant started driving again. Griffin wanted to try to go to one of the more country-like areas so he drove for a little while till he found one. A nice house out in a field, away from the bigger parts of the city. He parked in the driveway because there was one and Griffin noticed there was something in the backyard before he went into the house. Griffin wasn't sure what it was at first as it was covered but he soon realized it was a pool and he got a great idea. He hadn't been swimming in a long time. He removed the cover to find it empty, which he knew it probably had been. He rushed into the house and turned on a faucet which after a little while started running clear water. There was a well here, he was very happy. He quickly went outside into a small shed that was by an old garden. Sathorn was following him closely, slightly confused on what he was doing. Griffin found a hose and then looked for an outside faucet which ended up being right next to the shed. He let the water run out of the faucet by itself for a few seconds just to get clear water and then he turned it off, connected the hose, and turned it back on. He put the other end of the hose into the pool. Sathorn now realized what he was doing and laughed softly, Griffin looked very excited, almost like a kid who just got to go to an amusement park. "Now we wait." Griffin said and sighed, he was very impatient but he knew it would take a while. "Lets go look inside while we wait." He pointed to the house. Sathorn nodded. The two went inside and looked around. This place was very nice, Griffin wanted to stay there for a little while. It was still run down but it was very nice. They found a lot of useful stuff including lots of bullets, fuel for his portable stove, soaps, toothpaste, clothing that fit, some fuel cans, and a lot more. There was so much useful stuff he considered living there, but all his stuff was at his other place. He could theoretically move there but he didn't know if it was worth it. Because he was slightly thinking about it he didn't have the stuff loaded up right away. He opened the cupboards in the kitchen and found lots of food that wasn't editable anymore. That was until he found a door which led to a big pantry full of canned foods. "Man this man must have been preparing for the apocalypse" he said aloud. Sathorn just was surprised and happy at all the food they could eat. Griffin took out a few things liked canned fish, canned vegetables, and also quite a few spices that were in there. He also found quite a bit of alcohol in there, they didn't take that for now. He seasoned and cooked the fish very nicely and he also cooked the vegetables. They ate the food and Griffin quickly went out to check on the pool, which to his disappointment wasn't even a quarter full. He groaned and went back inside "Why does it have to take so long." He looked over and saw Sathorn reading the dictionary, studying again. He sat next to him and a few seconds past before Sathorn spoke. "Can... you reed book... now? Understand ... little." He asked, smiling. Griffin exhaled almost like a small laugh with air. He nodded in amusement, he didn't think Sathorn had learned enough to understand it. He pulled out his journal from his backpack and flipped through the pages trying to find where to start. He finally decided on a page "I remember hearing my parents trying and trying to find someone to watch me, not because they cared but because they didn't want to go to jail for leaving a child alone. They didn't want to take me on vacation with them, and after everything happened I started to wish they hadn't but now I like it here. Unfortunately for them they couldn't find anyone, and were forced to bring me with them. They were going on a vacation to Chiang Mai, Thailand. They had a week till we had to leave, which was a whole week of torture and abuse because they were mad I had to go with them. The whipping wasn't new to me, but about a month ago my back had gone numb to the pain they put on it. I didn't want them to know though, so I continued to make the same reactions as I did before, which wasn't much of a reaction in the first place. They liked to call me lots of names, everyone did, my face remained emotionless after being abused for a long time. I also was unable to cry, I could force fake smiles sometimes, I did it when I could feel the pain to try to not get hit but it was very tiring. When the day of our flight came I was relieved, I knew at least during the flight they wouldn't cause a scene. I also hoped there would be a lot of people nearby the place we would be staying, if there were people they wouldn't do anything." As he was talking Sathorn cut him off. "Enugh... gotta process (Enough gotta process)" Griffin looked up slightly amused, he knew he wouldn't understand most of it which is why he so easily read it. He nodded and sat the book down. "Alright you can process. I'll go look around some more." Griffin went to look around in the areas he hadn't searched yet. He looked in the garage and was excited when he saw a lot of building materials and tools. Unfortunately a lot of the tools were electricity powered, which they did not have. But he could make things, which he loved to do. He did, however , notice a box-like thing with bars around it, two wheels, and a lot of buttons and switches. The cord it had was not a regular plug in so he was confused. He went back inside and grabbed Sathorn's arm pulling him to the garage and pointed at it. Sathorn's eyes lit up and a huge smile came to his face. He hugged Griffin and jumped a bit, very excited. Griffin had just found a generator, and Sathorn knew how to hook it up to the house. The two of them may just have some luck.
