"You got Erudite.. And Dauntless. And Amity. And Candor. And Abnegation"

Today was the day.

It was the day that I would do the aptitude test and get the results of which faction I would belong in. If I had to be honest, I was very, very nervous. My mom, the leader of the Erudite, had ensured me that she had checked the Aptitude Serum, but needles just give me the chills.

"Sis! Today's the day, hurry up and get dressed! Don't want to be late today, right?" my twin sister, Leah, called from beside me, pulling the covers off my body.

Yes, that's right, I have a little sister, who was smaller than me by 6 months. Her name was Leah Matthews and I was proud to have her as a little sister. She had beautiful blond hair, flowing down to her hips, but always having to pin it back since it usually interfered with our work. She had big eyes, always curious about things she tend to like, but..

Let's just say she never really acted and felt like an Erudite.

She never felt loved by mom, and I'm sure mom does love her, but she isn't good at showing it I guess.

Being the daughter of the Erudite leader had its perks, but it meant getting lots of attention. And what Leah and I hated, were lots of attention and stares.

"Hey!" I yelped, trying my blanket back, "Give it back!! I'll get up in a second, I promise!"

Flailing around in my bed was already a bad idea, and when she jerked it away from me farther, I fell of the bed, on the floor.

Leah burst of laughing, slapping her leg. I almost saw tears form in her eyes.

"Lei! Leah! Time to get ready to go," our mom called from downstairs, "You better prepare now and stop fooling around!"

I glared at my sister playfully and snatched my blanket, going to the bathroom to do my morning routine.

I put on a baggy blue t-shirt, and some comfortable pants, slipping a headband onto my head.

Unlike my sister's long hair, my hair was short like our mom's, and I preferred it that way.

The less distraction there is, the better.

I went down the stairs, being welcomed to a scene with a wonderful breakfast, and a very serious looking Jeanine.

"Hey," I greeted her with a nod, "How're you?"

If I was honest, I didn't know what to say other than that, since usually in the mornings, our mom was already at office, leaving some breakfast for us.

She walked over and embraced me, pressing me against her chest, "I should be the one asking you that. Don't be nervous, alright? I double checked the serum and made sure it wouldn't make you sick."

I smiled faintly, "Thanks Mom, I really appreciate it!"

She patted my head, leading me to the table, "Leah already left, wanting to meet with her friends and mentally prepare for this. Finish quickly, and you might be able to catch up with your friends."

"Thank you so much, I really am happy I got you as a mom," I kiss her lightly on the cheek.

I know that she wasn't that kind of physical person, but I knew she would let it pass just today.

"See you later, dear," she said when I left the house, getting ready to do the aptitude test.
