Ominis
"Confringo maxima!"
The voice rang through the forest with an echo. It came from far in the distance and was filled with so much power. It hypnotized me to follow it.
"Incendio!"
The closer I got, the more I heard the screams. The screams of dark witches and wizards who had come across a person full of fiery vengeance.
"Confringo!"
The part of the forest I approached on was bathed in fire, yet I did not burn. The screams got louder, painful to my ears.
I continued walking towards the voice. Towards the female voice. A voice burning with rage.
"PESTIS INCENDIUM!"
The forest must've looked like hell itself. Fire roared in every corner of every tree. Pleads of mercy from ashwinders and poachers sang all around me as they fell dead to the ground, or apparated to safety.
In a small clearing of flames, is where my wand detected her. And for being in the midst of fire, chills ran up my body.
"Anne?" I called to her above the flames.
She turned towards me, and we were suddenly alone. The flames and bodies had vanished. It was just us. Shock filled both of our bodies, gluing us in our place.
"Ominis?" She whispered so sweetly.
I ran to her as fast as I could. She stayed put, allowing me to come to her.
My stomach turned over as I stood in front of her. I reached out and grabbed her face with my hands, and she whimpered, trying her hardest not to cry. She put her hands over mine.
"I thought I'd never see you again," I began to cry with her. My forehead rested against hers, feeling her skin on mine. She felt healthy. Strong. Insanely strong.
"I can't believe I found you." I wiped the tears from her eyes as fast as they poured out. So much relief, yet still so much stress in her now strong body.
She brushed my hair back with her hands, as mine found my way to her waist. The intimacy in our gestures awakened such a spark in my soul. I was never letting go of her. If I ever figure out a spell to freeze time, I shall use it for every moment we spend together from here on out.
The sweet pleasure of feeling her hands grip me as if I would vanish if she let go was intoxicating. We found our way back to each other. We were safe. I wanted the feeling to last forever.
But it slowly diminished.
"It's not time yet, Omi." Her voice was so sorrowful.
I pulled my forehead away from her.
"What do you mean?"
"I can't put you in danger. You have to go." She said pulling away from me.
"No," I said, my hands going back to her face. "Anne, please, I can't lose you again."
"You'll find me," she whispered. "But you have to wake up now."
"No. No, I need you, please-"
"Wake up, Omi" she whispered with such command, that my mind obeyed.
My eyes shot open, and my heart clenched at the reality.
None of that was real. It was just a dream.
