Chapter 5: The New Fifth Year

Ominis - DATDA Class

As previously stated, I knew Sebastian was going to do something stupid to impress the new girl.

During his duel with Leander, I heard new footsteps enter in the room, only assuming it was the new fifth year. He went silent for a moment, so I assume he heard her walk in or saw her from the corner of his eye.

"Is that all you've got?"

Please don't.

"BOMBARDA"

He did it.

Fucking idiot.

I heard a crack and gasping. Professor Hecat dashed out of her office, saving Leander from getting crushed by a dragon skull.

As my much as I love my best friend dearly, sometimes I dream of someone coming along and putting him in his place.

Today just happened to be my lucky day.

The new fifth year girl, who had little to no knowledge of magic, defeated Sebastian in a duel in less than a minute.

How sweet the sound of defeat was.

If Sebastian didn't have a crush before, by now I knew he was now completely infatuated with her. The most beautiful girl in the world had just handed him his ass.

I think I was going to like the new girl.

Ominis - Outside of the Undercroft

I take it back. She's a snake through and through.

But the bigger snake that was getting on my nerves?

Sebastian Fucking Sallow.

I stormed into the Undercroft shortly after the new girl had exited it. I heard Sebastian catch his breath as I entered.

"Ominis, I was just coming to-"

"Shut your mouth, you rat bastard!" Anger seeped through my veins.

"Ominis, please, Ariel needed a place to prac-"

"I don't care what she needs! How dare you bring her into this place. This was suppose to be a secret between the three of us! The new girl shows up days ago, you know nothing about her, and you're showing her the Undercroft?"

He was silent.

"I just wanted her to have a place to practice. I know enough about her to know she's good at keeping secrets, Ominis. She won't tell a soul about this place."

I thought you wouldn't either.

Ominis - 2nd half of first year

"Ominis, where are you taking us?" Sebastian asked impatiently, and rather loudly. It was already past curfew, so we had to sneak around.

"Shh!" Anne said in a harsh whisper, "you're going to get caught if you don't lower your voice, troll brain!"

We had arrived, just outside of the Undercroft.

I knew both the Sallow twins were intensely staring at me waiting for me to say something, but my emotions were overtaking me.

The last time I was in here, Marvolo cursed me and made me do horrible things to myself.

I remember heading back to the common room that evening, both the twins rushing towards me... both ready to make him pay.

I knew it wasn't worth it, so I stopped them in their tracks, and they took me to the bathroom to bandage my wounds. Little did they know they were also healing me.
