Seonghwa
"Say it then." Seonghwa demanded, "Tell me who I am."
"Hwa, stop this." Wooyoung grabbed his arm.
Captain Sharp Eye smirked, "You're Captain Fredel's son, aren't you."
Everyone frowned.
"Captain Fredel? You've got to be shitting me." Mingi scoffed.
"Captain Fredel has been dead for over 2 decades, he had no other family. The bloodline ended with him. He can't be his son." Hongjoong interferred.
The older man chuckled, "He looks a little too much like him, what a shame." finally Captain Sharp Eye set them free to do whatever they planned on doing.
"What the fuck did you just do there?! Do you have any idea you could've been dead meat if they found out you were a royal." Hongjoong cursed.
"Then so it be." Seonghwa bluntly said, walking past him while pulling out his map and compass.
"What the fuck is wrong with him?" Hongjoong remarked.
Wooyoung glanced at him, "Didn't think someone innocent as him has a side like this?" he scoffed.
It took them about 3 hours just to find the area where all the treasures were burried. They ended up right behind the large volcano which made Seonghwa very uneasy if the grey smoke and little lava rocks that were coming out of its crater was anything to go by. Why did this volcano exactly have to be active?
While Mingi and San were digging up random areas in the sand, Hongjoong and Wooyoung were checking each chest for the Rixa Rubin but so far were unlucky. They've been through 10 large chests and not one of them contained it.
Seonghwa on the other hand was analyzing the map and the compass. The compass was somehow acting up. It kept showing him south when it needed to point at west. No matter which direction he stands in, it always stayed on south. Like it was frozen.
"We could use a handing help here too, you know." Mingi stated, specifically calling out Seonghwa.
"The compass is broken." he glanced up at them.
"Nonsense, the compass is never wrong." Hongjoong defended since it belonged to him.
Seonghwa shook his head, "Something is wrong and I don't like it."
Just then a loud grumble from the volcano startled them. It started to spit out lava from the crater.
"Shit the volcano's erupting and we haven't found the stone yet." Mingi cursed, trying to bury back the treasure chests they dug up.
"Quick we need to get out of here before this volcano fully erupts." Hongjoong helped cover the treasures in sand.
"I knew it." someone says from the distance, it was Captain Sharp Eye with a stern look. "You're trying to steal our treasure!"
The compass in Seonghwa's hands started to go hysterical, it felt heavy on his palms and when he looked down. It pointed directly at Captain Sharp Eye.
"It's not what it looks like!" San defended.
"Traitors!"
Seonghwa's eyes landed on the jewelry piece around his neck. He wore a ruby stone that was wrapped around a rope which he made it into a necklace. It was the Rixa Rubin. He blinked multiple times until Captain Sharp Eye pulled out his large pistol.
A big noise of large wings flapping in the distance was heard, Seonghwa knew who it was. He immediately takes out his gun and aimed for the older man's leg. Shooting at it 3 times before he fell on his back with a groan.
The other's audibly gasping as something heavy dropped behind them, it was Yunho with two of his dragons and the other's who were left behind on the ship were there. "Quick, they're about to attack!"
Seonghwa snapped back to reality, as everyone ran to the dragons, Seonghwa sprinted to the old man and ripped the necklace off his neck. He got on Hazel's back and immediately flew off just as other pirates were about to attack.
Everyone panted heavily in horror after almost meeting their death. Seonghwa's hands tremble as he tried to hold on to the dragon but since his other hand was nervously shaking, the Rixa Rubin slipped out of his hands just as they were above the volcano's crater.
"No!" Seonghwa exclaimed, jumping after the stone without thinking twice.
"Seonghwa!" Yunho yelled, horrified.
Seonghwa was falling at a fast speed and he finally managed to catch the stone, only that he was falling to his death in a pool of hot magma. He closed his eyes shut, hugging himself tightly and praying that this was just a nightmare he'll wake up from any time soon.
Before he could swim in the pool of disaster, he landed on something hard but not too hard for his back to hurt. The next thing he knew is that some strong arms wrapped around his body as he curled himself to a fetal position. His body shaking badly.
"Have you lost your mind?!" he could hear Hongjoong yell right above him, when he tilted his head up he could only glance a moment to stare at his face.
He had a stern look and outraged at Seonghwa's reckless stunt that he pulled. The taller could only smile at him weakly, "You saved me again.."
"To the ship, right away!" Hongjoong ignored Seonghwa's words.
Seonghwa just smiled to himself, eyes feeling extremely heavy. It felt like he was going to faint. His head cocked to the side so that it was resting against Hongjoong's buff chest as his vision blackened.
He really did pass out in his enemies arms.
In Hongjoong's embrace.
