Why Are You Arguing?

I walked out from the bathroom with my clothes in my hand, my bare feet feeling pretty awkward on the cold floor. I heard voices in another room and I padded through. Dan and Phil were sitting on the couch, Adventure Time was playing on the Tv and I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. They turned around at the sound of my laugh, I smiled awkwardly at them, probably blushing at both their eyes on me.

''Thank you, for the dry clothes'' I said, through my hair was still dripping down my back. I didn't want to push my luck by asking for a hair drier or something.

''No problem'' Dan said, standing up ''Do you want to put them on a radiator?''

''Uh...'' I said, not wanting to sound stupid ''Don't judge me but what the hell is a radiator?''

Dan and Phil both burst out laugh and I looked at my bare feet, blushing a deep crimson.

''Don't be embarassed'' Dan said kindly ''You won't have needed them in Nashville, it's a heater thing'' he pointed at the white things I also had on my wall.

''Oh so that's what those things are'' I muttered, my apartment had been freezing for months. Dan walked forward and I awkwardly handed him my clothes. I really didn't want to be such a bother. He wandered over to the radiator thing and put my clothes on it.

''Big Paramore fan?'' Phil asked, seeing my jeans, I nodded. Hayley Williams was my fucking idol, I'd dyed my hair like hers. No fucks will ever be given.

''You do look like that Hayley girl'' Dan chipped in and I was flattered. Probably the biggest compliment I've ever had. he mumbled something else but I was to awkward to awkward what he'd said.

''You can sit down'' Dan said, smiled at me awkwardly standing, blushing I sat down on their couch and he flopped down next to me, his arm sitting on the back of the sofa behind me. I attempted to run my fingers through my hair to untangle it but I ended up hurting my head and pulling out a bit of my hair, sighing I just threw my hair back over my shoulder so it sat down my back. I knew it would end up going curly. I hated it curly, it looked shit and being in the presence of two people who were a lot better looking than me made me feel more self concious about myself than I already was.

''Do you guys know who I should call to fix my door?'' I asked quietly

''Yeah, the maintenance guy who works here, I think?'' Phil said, ''his number is in the yellow pages somewhere''

''Oh, uh, okay'' I said quietly, unsure whether to go look for it or wait for him to get it. Wow was I bad in social situations.

''Do you want me to call him?'' Dan asked, cocking an eye brow at me.

''Yes please'' I said, still dazed by them. They were being so nice to me. No one was ever this nice to me.

Dan came back a couple minutes later, pushing his phone back in his pocket, he looked up at me with a smile that made me instantly blush. God damn Ronnie, he's probably thinking you're a massive loser.

''He just got off work and he can't get up here 'till tomorrow'' he said

''Oh, that's fine, I'll just sleep in the elevator then'' I muttered, they both laughed. I felt myself blush again, for fucks sake.

''You can stay here if you want?'' Dan said

''Really?'' I said, then mentally kicked myself as it came out too hopeful.

''Yeah'' he said with another smile that made me go weak in the knees

''Are you sure I wouldn't be any trouble?'' I said.
