Chapter 40

Seoul, South Korea
24th June.

It was a beautiful day. The sky shining with the bright sun and clouds swinging around. In the middle of the year, it was the time of the summer season. As the world shone with excessive heat.

Kim Seo Joon and his wife Kim Minji walked out of their car and head inside a cafè. With the entrance smelling like fresh bread and the sound of coffee brewing.

It was a simple yet modernized cafè, with a few people inside it. There it was a ordinary cafè though. Not a lot of people visits the place at that hour, but only for hanging out and snacking purposes.

SeoJun tells his great wife to take a seat first as he does after. Minji looks around and out the window, a couple catches her eyes first and she quickly pulls in her husband to show him.

They are here already! The two smiles at each other as they hear the footsteps coming their way.

"Oh, hey Minji!" a woman around Minji's age greets her as she takes a sit across them.

"Chaerin! You finally came. How are you?" Minji asks with a sweet smile on her face.

"Hm, I'm great. How about you all?" Kim Chaerin replies and returns her smile.

"We're are doing amazing! Ah, when's the last time we met actually? It's been so long!" Chaerin laughs and nods. "Yes, it has been a long time."

"We probably last met when your daughter was born, right Ha Jun?" Chaerin asks and turned to her husband as he nods.

"Oh, yes. Is she the only daughter?"

"Ah, no. We have two daughters. Jennie is the younger one." Minji states.

"Oh, we got two daughters as well." Chaerin says and smiles.

"Two daughters? Oh, that's nice. Mhm, I think you had one son too. Is he adopted away or something?" Seo Joon asks with curiosity.

"Oh! I completely forgot about him.. haha.." Chaerin laughs nervously. "He is our elder child. You two missed him when he was born, because I heard Mr. Kim was away in a business trip. So I didn't tell you."

"You should have though. We would've been more grateful if we got to see your first baby. I didn't really remember that you had one son, until you told me right now. Because all this time I only heard of two daughters." Minji says.

"Yeah, right.."

"So? Let's order something first, and then we begin talking about some other things. How's that?" Kim Ha Jun asks.

"That would be great. Let's order something, what do you all want?" Seojun asks.

"Just a regular coffee, with some snacks for everyone." - "Yeah,"

Kim Kim Seojun turns and calls the waiter, making a quick order before their food finally arrives.

"So, may I know the names of your children? What was the number of your daughters again? Two? Three?" Minji asks.

"Ah, I have two young daughters. Kim Chaewon and Dahyun. They are almost like twins, but they have an age difference though." Chaerin says and smiles.

"Oh, that's such a nice match!" SeoJun says.

"Yeah, Chaewon and Dahyun are so sister alike names! And I feel some connection between Chaewon and your name though. Right? Chaerin?" Minji smiles.

"Yes! I thought no one would realize that but looks like you did haha.." - "Well, I wanted to name my first child-"
