Chapter 46

"Something just doesn't sound right to me...at all." Jennie said and sat on the edge of the bed, her chin resting on her palm as she sighed looking at his direction.

"What doesn't sound right, hm?" Taehyung asked and sat beside her, scanning her from her head to toe.

"About dad... the doctor is really suspicious. I feel like something is up and he is not telling us about it." Jennie replied. "Could it be anything else?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like the doctor insists dad to stay there at the hospital for a few more days. And something about it tells me it's not like what it seems like!" Jennie explains.

"Tsk, Jen why do you keep overthinking about it? I'm sure everything is fine. Maybe the doctor just wants him to be safe and healthy, and if he needs any immediate treatments or medical attention he could have it right away. I'm sure there is a reason, Jen. The doctor just wants to make sure he is fine. And after all, he has just woken up. He is not even completely recovered from it." Taehyung tells her.

"That could be true..but, what it it's not?" Taehyung sighs. "If it's not then I'll beat him up, happy?"

"No! Why would you do that! I'm just trying to tell you that the way he talks is suspicious to me. I don't know but I feel like something is happening inside, and dr. Suho won't tell us about it. You know like.. what if he doesn't wanna upset us or maybe doesn't want dad to cure from this?"

"That's a doctor's job. No matter how bad we feel about it, they would still threaten us about the patient's health. Maybe they haven't researched properly yet, so they don't know. And they can't tell us what really is happening..? That's something, but I'm sure they would never do such thing. They are doctor's, not our loved ones to actually care about our emotions." Taehyung explains.

"Makes sense but..."

"No but's! You have to accept it, and if you keep overthinking about it then it'll effect your health real bad! Don't show me the side."

"Fine. I'll not think about it anymore.." she sighs and nods at his statement.

"Good," he said and smiled.

Silence surrounded them for a long while, both in their deep thoughts. Wondering about what if's and why not's. Until Taehyung decided to finally break the awkward silence.

"You haven't given me a single kiss today, mind telling me why?" Jennie tsked and rolled her eyes. "This lady right here ain't giving a dumbass like you kisses."

"What? Me? Dumbass? I bet you're just trying to outsmart me. Well.. no matter what, this so called dumbass man could find a way out of your sass and attitude."

"Sass and attitude? Pfft, says the one that ignored me for six fucking months."

"That wasn't intentional, but this is." — "Intentional, my ass. You better not expect me to kiss you right now."

Jennie says and stood up, about to walk away. But before she could make another move Taehyung was fast enough to grab her wrist and pull her back to him, right on his lap.

"Shut up," he whispered. "If you don't want to do it the easy way, then I could switch to the hard side if you want." he said into her ears, his voice husky and deep sounding so sexy and soothing.

"Should I, my love?" Taehyung raises a brow, his grip on her waist so tight and firm.

"Are you warning or threatening me? I'm not scared of it though." Taehyung was taken a back by her reply, she wasn't even showing the signs of approval! Why is she acting like this?
