Min jun's pov

After the call with Yuna ended, I looked at Nari with a smile. "Come with me, I've got a little surprise for you," I said, trying to keep my voice casual.

She looked at me with curiosity. "What kind of surprise? What are you up to, Min Jun?"

I chuckled and shook my head. "No questions. Just trust me. Come on."

We got into the car and drove through the city. Nari kept looking around, probably trying to guess where I was taking her. When we arrived at the restaurant, she looked even more confused.

"Why are we here?" she asked as we got out of the car.

"Just wait and see," I replied with a grin.

As we walked inside, the staff greeted us warmly and handed Nari a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She looked at them, then at me, her eyes wide with surprise.

"What's all this for?" she asked, her voice soft.

I took a step closer to her and said, "It's all for you, princess."

She blushed and smiled, clearly touched by the gesture. We were led to a table in the middle of the restaurant, which was lit by soft candlelight. The waiter soon brought out a cake and some chocolates, setting them down on the table.

I took a deep breath and got down on one knee, pulling out a small velvet box from my pocket. Inside was a diamond ring that I had carefully chosen.

"Nari," I began, my voice a little shaky, "I've never done anything like this before, but I wanted to do it for you. I'm not one for fancy words, so I'll just ask-will you marry me, Shin Nari?"

Her eyes filled with tears as she looked down at me. She was so shocked that she didn't speak for a moment, but then she nodded and whispered, "Yes, Min Jun. I'll marry you."

I slipped the ring onto her finger, feeling a wave of relief and happiness wash over me. We stood up and hugged each other, the world around us fading away.

"It looks perfect on you," I said, smiling as I kissed her hand. "Just like it was made for you."

She wiped her tears and teased, "I didn't expect this from you. I thought you weren't the romantic type."

I laughed. "Well, I guess I fooled you. But I'm glad I did."

We spent the rest of the evening enjoying our time together, talking and laughing as if there was no one else in the world. It was a night I'd never forget.

Author's pov

After the call with Yuna ended, Mi Young felt a surge of frustration and confusion. Who was that girl with Eun Sang? The thought kept spinning in her mind, making her feel uneasy. The idea that another woman was so close to him, in his room no less, made her feel a mix of emotions she couldn't quite untangle. It wasn't just jealousy-it was worry, concern, and something deeper she couldn't name.

Unable to shake the feeling, Mi Young decided she couldn't just sit around and wonder. She needed answers. With determination, she headed straight for Lee Seong's office, her footsteps echoing in the quiet hallway. Lee Seong, Eun Sang's father, was someone Mi Young trusted deeply. She knew he cared for his son, maybe even more than he let on. If anyone could get to the bottom of this, it would be him-but she had no idea of the darkness lurking behind his calm demeanor.

When she entered the office, Lee Seong was seated at his large mahogany desk, reviewing some documents. He looked up as she walked in, immediately noticing the worry etched on her face. He put down the papers, giving her his full attention.
