Mi Young's POV
I couldn't focus on anything after leaving Uncle Seong's office. The way his voice carried authority and determination still rang in my ears. But what haunted me more than anything was the girl who had answered Eun Sang's call. There was something about her voice. It was calm, almost too calm, like she had nothing to hide. But I knew better. No one could be that close to Eun Sang without a reason. Who was she? What was she doing with him? The more I thought about it, the more restless I became.
Everything in my life seemed to fade into the background, except for that girl. I couldn't even enjoy my favorite cup of coffee or concentrate on any work. Even while sitting in my room, the walls felt like they were closing in on me, suffocating me with questions that had no answers.
Just then, my phone buzzed, pulling me out of the suffocating silence. It was Uncle Seong again.
"Is Alex your friend too?" His voice was sharp and to the point, not even bothering with small talk.
"Yes," I replied, caught off guard by the sudden question. "Eun Sang and I were both friends with him in college. Why?"
There was a brief pause on the other end, and I could almost feel Uncle Seong calculating his next move. "Did Alex invite you to his wedding?"
I frowned, not quite sure where he was going with this. "Yes, he did. But why does it matter?"
Another silence followed. When Uncle Seong finally spoke, his words sent a chill down my spine. "You need to go to that wedding. I want you to see for yourself what Eun Sang is doing with that girl."
My heart clenched, the anger bubbling up inside me. He was ordering me around, as if I were some spy for him, but I couldn't deny that I wanted to see Eun Sang and that girl. I needed to know who she was.
"But I can't go. The wedding is too soon, and there's no time to prepare!" I tried to argue, hoping Uncle Seong would drop the idea.
But he didn't. "Take my private jet. You'll be there in no time."
There was no arguing with him. He always had a solution for everything. I sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and reluctant acceptance. "Fine, I'll go."

A few hours later, I found myself landing in Paris, the city of love. How ironic. I wasn't here for love; I was here for the truth. As I checked into the luxurious hotel, every step I took felt heavy, as if I were walking into a battlefield.
I had chosen this hotel carefully. I knew it was where that girl-the one who had picked up Eun Sang's call-was staying. But I wasn't here for her. Not yet. My priority was to find Eun Sang. I needed to see him with my own eyes, to figure out what was going on.
What I didn't know at the time was that the girl I was so obsessed with was staying just a few rooms away from me. But fate has a funny way of playing tricks on you. I had come here for answers, but I was about to get more than I had bargained for.
Author's POV
Mi Young was dressed to perfection as she prepared to leave for Alex's wedding. Her heart was pounding, not just from excitement, but from the swirling storm of emotions inside her. She had rehearsed what she would say to Eun Sang when she saw him, but none of those rehearsals prepared her for what was about to happen.
As she stepped out of the hotel lobby, her eyes scanned the bustling streets of Paris. And then, as if fate itself had arranged it, her gaze landed on a familiar figure from behind. Her heart skipped a beat.
