"Mm! That was pretty good! I wonder if the rest are as tasty, too?"

Finally finishing the meal, the only part not being eaten was the male reproductive organ which was tossed to the side, the said monster in the form of a little girl responsible for Chugo death's waited for another victim to climb up the tunnel.

The monster's identity was Ani, one of the people I sent to this world. She was reborn as a Transforming Mimic and seemed to have grown stronger... by eating all living things she came across.

"It tastes quite different from a human... Was that guy a monster? He's tasty but it kinda stings my mouth..."

Holy energy was harmful to monsters so it made sense it would burn her mouth since she had just eaten an angel, but apparently that's nothing and she only felt a sting.

But, to make matters worse, she remembered what a human tastes like, so it could only mean she must have eaten a lot. It appeared that Ani quickly adapted to her new life and didn't have qualms about eating humans, even though she used to be one herself.

"Hurry, hurry~ climb up quickly. It's rude to keep a lady waiting..."

As the man-eating mimic spun around and broke into an excited little dance while she waited for the 'foods' to offer themselves, a gloomy atmosphere befell on the group, as they remained silent.

They fortunately didn't hear what she said. It would just make things so much worse if they knew that the monster waiting above the tunnel considered them as nothing but light snacks otherwise.

The first one to break this silence was, of course, Draco. Unsurprisingly. He picked what remained of Chugo, then walked up to Oolam.

The confused slime looked up at him and formed a question mark above his head(?). It didn't seem like he heard what Draco had said before. So he repeated it after taking note of his confusion.

"Eat this."

Draco presented the head of the damned with a grin.

'...'

...

"Hey now, he healed you, you know... You shouldn't play with the remains of the de-" As Overload started to reprimand Draco for his behavior, he cut himself off as he found Oolam actually eating the head. "...really?"

It was hopeless. Even the person, or slime in this case, whom Overload considered to be the only sane in the group was no good too.

Oolam found it very disgusting but it would be a waste if not eaten. He might be able to get a human form soon by eating the head so he did.

"Can't really blame him. That was the best burial we give," said False.

While what he said made sense, Draco's intention for making Oolam eat the head wasn't that novel. He just wanted to get back at the angel who told him to shut up. That's it. There were no other reasons behind his actions, and hearing that it was the angel who healed him didn't make him reconsider either.

'I have never tried eating anything yet. Do we have a sense of taste?'

The curious Limpan hopped next to his other slime companion with that question, eating a shake of its body as if to express disgust.

'No.'

'Can you become human now?'

'Not yet. I still need to analyze it properly.'
