My Dastardly Companion,
How you never cease to make me laugh! I do hope you remain quite so hilarious until I return, as I should enjoy nothing more than to see you laugh again and again.
But, simultaneously, you manage to trap me in a loop of confusion and yearning. You must tell me about this dream! It is a crime to keep it from me now that you have mentioned it.
I sincerely apologize for the worry my late letter must have caused you. I cannot fathom my reaction should the same thing occur to me. It is because I hesitated in sending it, truthfully. Upon re-reading it, the thought of scaring you made me rethink the whole thing entirely. For that, I am sorry.
Believe Me Always Your Adoring Friend,
James
