Hamilton one shots

Argument (hamilton x Eliza)

Alexander has been working for weeks he keeps refusing a break form Eliza and he's up all night working

Eliza walks over to Alexander and places a hand on his shoulder

"Alexander pls come back to sleep" she says in a tired whisper

"I can't I have too much work to do" he shoots back

"What type of work?" She asks

"What do u mean what type of work just work!" He shouts

Eliza flinches and his raised voice

(Phillips pov)
*hes 9 at the time*

Mummy and daddy have been arguing a lot lately something about daddy working too much they have been fighting for weeks it makes dinner time awkward

Every time they argue I listen in from the room next to them it never gets too bad once daddy raises his voice ma walks out I hope they stop fighting soon I don't want anything bad to happen

(Eliza's pov)

What work could he be doing that's so important why won't he just sleep I've heard him complain to his friends how he's always tired so why won't he come to bed when I ask him to he doesn't even spend time with Phillip anymore

I look over to the drawing over me and Alexander and smile

Maybe he is just busy

(Alexander's pov)

The war has just finished but too much is going on with Lauren's gone I've had to take over his work and Lafayette is in France leaving me with his work

I love Eliza I do but if I don't get this done anything could happen how I miss spending time as a family I really do but they will have to wait not much more left right

I look over at the stacks of papers left to complete and sigh

(No ones pov)

It's been three weeks since their last argument

Alexander places his own down for the first time in weeks and walks over to there bedroom and peeks in

Eliza is led on the bed (fake) laughing as Phillip tells funny (not funny) jokes

Eliza heard the door open and saw Alexander in the doorway

"Phillip pls go to your room"  she says softly

"Okay ma" he says running off to his room

Alexander walks over and kisses Eliza

"My love I'm so sorry I've been given so much work to do and it's been hard to keep up with it all I'm sorry I've been pushing you way and raising my voice at you" he says quickly

"Shh it's okay it's okay I may not understand fully but I understand u need time alone to do work I married u Alexander ik what u need I also know u need to sleep so get ready for bed I'll go put Phillip to bed" she says her voice soft

(Eliza's pov)

I leave the room and tuck Phillip into bed I turn off all the lights and go to the bedroom to see Alexander half asleep

I hop into the bed and cuddle up next to him

"Goodnight my love" I whisper
