Chapter Six

May woke up yawning, she turned to her side and saw Phil sleeping peacefully. She smiled and got out of bed, not wanting to wake him up. She walked to the dresser and go her clothes out, underwear, bra, socks, black leggings and her black tank top. She showered and when she walked out of the bathroom to change Phil was awake. "Good morning Phil," she said.

"Morning Mel" he replied sleepily.

May finished drying her body off as Phil said, "If you had woken me up and told me you were showering I might've joined you, to save water of course" May smirked and responded, "Maybe tomorrow because I've got an idea. You wake up early!"

He scoffed and said, "You wish"

May just nodded her head silently laughing. She put her towel down to reveal her naked body and started putting clothes on. Phil was watching her, but tried to make it so she wouldn't notice. "Perv" May said smirking at her husband, "We both know you can't hide what your doing from me"

And Phil nodded getting out of bed and into the shower himself. When he came out he wore a normal suit with dark gray pants and a matching jacket, white undershirt and was holding a tie for May to tie on him. She smirked and tied it for him. She said, "I'm going to get Daisy up and check on Sofi,"

May did just that. In Daisy's room she woke her up by saying "Daisy hon? Wake up, come on we have to go to work"

Daisy immediately woke up and said, "Mom listen, I'm so sorry, it will ne-"

May cut her off, "it's ok honey. It's not your fault Eli showed up. I was just upset yesterday. I am just really disappointed that you didn't tell us you were dating Robbie, and that you didn't call SHIELD and tell them that you had Eli Morrow and instead you let him free."

"Thanks for not being mad and I'm sorry for not telling you or calling SHIELD"Daisy said

"Mhm. Now get ready we have to go to work" May said walking out.

*** (At Work)

"I'm going to my office, Daisy come with me. I want to talk to you, but your not in trouble for last night." Phil said. "If you want you can come Mel"

"Umm, it's ok. I want to check on something else" May responded.

Phil and Daisy left for his office and May headed to the lab.

"Hey Jemma," May said. "Can I speak with you for a minute?"

"Sure!" Jemma said in her upbeat voice. "What's up?" She asked as she walked to May

"Can we speak somewhere private?" May asked shyly

"Of Course." Jemma said, getting kinda worried. "Everyone clear out please" Jemma said to everyone in the lab.

Fitz walked over to Jemma and May and nodded, then asked Jemma, "Why are you clearing everyone out?"

"I have to talk to May about a private matter concerning her health." Jemma said.

"Okay" Fitz said. "I'll grab lunch for us so you girls can talk"

Jemma nodded and smiled and Fitz walked out.

"What happened May?" Jemma asked worried.

"I've been getting sick a lot lately, morning sickness, fatigue and my back and lower abdomen hurt." May explained.

"Are you having food cravings?" Jemma asked.

"A little" May answered

"You probably don't want to hear this but that sounds like pregnancy." Jemma said.

"I know." May stated. "That's why I took a test today morning."

"And..." Jemma said.

May handed her the test. Jemma gasped. "What I find weird and why I'm coming to you is because of one main reason, I'm 54" May summed up.

"That's what I was thinking about. It is harder to have a baby in your 50's because it is more likely to have a miscarriage or stillbirth. Whether or not you want to keep it is your choice, if it would be easier to just abort it now rather than having a possible miscarriage If up to you,"

May nodded and though for a while.

"What would you do?" May asked Jemma.

"Umm" she bit her bottom lip. "I would probably keep it and try to make sure it's as healthy as possible, as long as I know who the father is and I'm happy about it" she answered after a minute of thinking.

"That's what I will do then because I agree" May said.

"If I may ask, who is the father?" Jemma asked

"Phil of course" May replied without hesitation.

"Yes okay." Jemma said nodding and smiling. "Congratulations!"

"Thanks, and Jemma?" May spoke.

"Hmm?" Jemma hummed in response

"Don't tell anyone, not even Fitz and especially not Phil" May spoke walking out the door.

"I strongly suggest-" Jemma said as May left. The door shut with a normal slam and cut Jemma off. "that you tell The Director" Jemma finished to the closed door.

*** (What happened in Phil's office with Daisy)

"I'm going to my office, Daisy come with me. I want to talk to you, but your not in trouble for last night." Phil said. "If you want you can come Mel"

"Umm, it's ok. I want to check on something else" May responded.

Phil walked to his office with Daisy following right behind him. When they got to the door Mack was pacing outside. He snapped his head up and his eyes opened wide. "Sir, our cameras caught Eli Morrow last night, outside your house and he entered" Mack said, fearing the response that would soon come.

Phil didn't respond how Mack expected, instead he said a simple "I know" and "I will brief the team after I speak with Daisy." Mack nodded.

Phil and Daisy stepped into the office and locked the door.

"Hey" Daisy started "I'm sorry for what happened last night, I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt." She apologized

"It's ok. What I'm worried about and want to talk about is Robbie/ Dating and decision making." Phil stated. "Now me and your mom agreed that we would have the decision making conversation later because it should happen at home and she wants to be there for it"

Daisy sighed. "That leaves the dating/Robbie convo"

"Yep!" Phil said. "Okay listen I get it, I was once your age so you can date who you want, we won't stop you, but we wish you would tell us. Now if you don't want to tell us that's fine but you need to tell us when he is coming over, if we are there or not, and if your not ready to tell us who it is, that's okay just tell us your not ready."

"Okay, Thanks dad" Daisy said.

"We just want the best for you, we want you to be safe, and last but certainly not least we want you to be happy. Okay? Know that that's why we do things" Phil said, "We love you more than you know"

"I love you too dad." Daisy said embracing him. "I love you to dad" she whispered to no one.
