The Family Life -A Philinda Story

Chapter Seven

A/N This happens two days after the fight between Robbie and Eli and one day after May realized she was pregnant.

"Hey. My parents found out you were here because of the whole Eli thing, and umm, there not mad but they want to talk to us. Do you think you can come over today at noon?" Daisy asked into the phone.

"Okay" the boy said slowly on the other end of the phone. "Sure baby, I can come at noon"

"Thanks bae. Love you" she responded. Phil raised cocked his eyebrow.

"Great. Love you" Robbie said on the other end and made a kissy noise. At that May cocked her eyebrow.

Daisy hung up and looked at her parents, both wearing the same expression. A mix of did you really just say that to your boyfriend if front of us and Why did he make kissy noises?

"Seriously?" Daisy asked and walked away.

Phil called after her, "How many times have you done it in our house?"

"Like 5" Daisy replied before you could hear her steps carrying her up the stairs.

May sighed and asked "really?"

Phil responded with, "I had to know."

"We've don't it like 50 times here so 5 doesn't even compare, just makes me wonder how long they have been dating" May said. She shared a look with her husband then he walked upstairs to change into a suit, and May followed so she could change into a dress.

*** (When Robbie arrives)

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Coulson" Robbie said as he walked into the house.

"Hello Robbie" Phil replied

"It's May" May said sourly

"Hmm?" Robbie hummed questioning in response

"My name is May, not Ms. Coulson. I mean technically my name is Melinda May- Coulson but you will call me May" she said bitterly and sourly.

"Okay Mrs. May" Robbie responded, sounding scared.

"I just told you it's May no Mrs" May sighed annoyed

"Sorry May" he tried out the name.

"Anyway" Daisy said as she walked down the steps from upstairs, making a grand entrance in her beautiful white dress that was cute and sexy for her boyfriend, and covering and elegant for her parents. When Robbie saw her he gasped. I love that dress on her  he thought.

"Now don't go getting any ideas," Phil said to Robbie.

"Robbie, we need to talk about what happened two days ago," May began, her voice calm but stern.

Phil, more direct, added, "We know that Eli Morrow was in our house. And that you fought him—right here—with Daisy and Sofi in the same room."

Robbie looked up, remorse flooding his features. "Mr. Phil and May, I didn't want any of this to happen. I didn't even know Eli was going to show up. But when he did, I had to protect Daisy."

May's gaze hardened. "Protect her, yes. But, Robbie... Sofi is hurt. Our little girl has scars and stitches all over her body because of what happened here."

"I know," Robbie said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean for Sofi to get caught up in this. I was just trying to stop Eli before he could hurt anyone else"

Phil's voice rose, anger seeping through his words. "But she did get caught up in it! We didn't know that you and Daisy were dating, and we didn't know you were at our house but you came here when me and May weren't aware, and fought Eli, who SHIELD has been meaning to catch, let her free and hurt my little girl"
