4. Death of You

*major time skip. If you want a happily ever after harwin story you can read his and avalons journey but she has three daughters in this story and not in the other so I have changed it but this is a jace story, he needed to grow up. *

Avalon couldnt stand the heat anymore. She scowled at the fire that blazed before her until her husband approached blocking its path.

"Larys..." she whispered. He sat beside her silently

"Oh my heart..."

"Nothing feels right." Avalon whispered

He knew she didnt mean their union. They had been married for nearly five years. She meant this petition. She meant taelon running off. She meant vaeras obsession over aemond and Danikas infatuation with jace. She didnt want her girls to grow up too fast. She wanted them to stay young. She didnt like talking to biys. She was nervous at their age talking to handsome men and yet her girls were always so fearless. Katya her youngest at 7 was still more intrigued with her dragon than boys luckily.

Taelons shameless flirting with alicent was another thing avalon hated. Their brothers wife! She knew the irony.

After harwin passed larys was there for avalon and the girls. Since harwin didnt have any male heirs harenhal went to larys. Avalon didnt mind. She didnt want the haunted graveyard. She just wondered if he didnt accomany his father home what might have happened.

While some thought harwin strong was rhaenyras boys father. Avalon knew her husband would never stray. Rhaenyra found love or passion in any man she could. Something avalon condoned but understood the need to feel something with someone special.

So after harwins passing larys stepped up and helped avalon. He didnt ask for anything in return. Which made avalon love him more.

It was avalon that asked larys to marry him. She felt like she got lucky with the strong men. They treated her right. Her brothers as she well knew didnt treat their wives as kindly.

Daemon wanted to control rhaenyra and she let him. Viserys took advantage of his wife and now she was flirting with taelon. Avalon wished her brothers were a bit more like harwin and larys were with her and the kids.

"My queen." Taelon bowed his head low.

"Taelon." Alicent answered as he kissed her knuckles.

"I cant believe this man." Avalon tsked. Larys chuckled holding her hand as they walked.

"Hes just admiring the queen."

"Hes being a damn idiot." Avalon countered. "You think her beautiful?"

"I only have eyes for you." Larys countered.  Avalon smiled kissing him.

"You are sweet." She added wrapping her arms around him.

"Sister!" Tommen declared rushing forward. "Hey i was thinking-" tommen strong the youngest strong brother and always making avalon laugh so effortlessly. Larys half thought tommen would steal his wife. Tommen was also taelons best friend and taelon was known to bend some rules on what was ethical.  "You. Me. Fly away-"

Larys cleared his throat.

"Oh brother. Didnt see you there." Tommen mused nudging him.

"Can you be a doll and take the girls riding?" Avalon suggested. Tommen chuckled taking a step closer

"Vaera? With the scary boyfriend that wants to murder me everytime i go near my niece?" Tommen clarified.

"Yeah. That niece." Avalon agreed patting his cheek. "Come on larys-"
