As Soobin stepped off the train at Seoul Station, he was immediately struck by the bustling energy of the city. The sounds, sights, and smells were all so different from the laid-back, coastal vibe of Pohang. He felt a thrill of excitement mixed with a hint of nervousness as he made his way to Yewon's house.
When he arrived, Yewon flung open the door with a huge smile on her face. "Soobin! Oh my gosh, it's so great to see you!" She enveloped him in a warm hug, holding him tightly as if to reassure herself that he was really there, safe and sound.
Yewon stepped back, her eyes scanning Soobin from head to toe. "You look amazing! I was so worried about you after the accident. How are you feeling?"
Soobin smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Yewon's genuine concern. "I'm doing much better now, thanks. Still getting used to being back on my feet, but I'm managing."
Yewon nodded, her eyes sparkling with relief. "I'm so glad to hear that. Come on in, let's catch up!"
Soobin took a deep breath and revealed his secret to Yewon. "Yewon, I have something to tell you. I've come to Seoul to find someone... a boy I love."
Yewon's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly regained her composure. "Tell me more, Soobin."
Soobin's heart raced as he shared his story. "His name is Yeonjun. We met in Pohang, and...he's Yoon Hee halmeoni's grandson." He pulled out his phone and showed Yewon pictures of him and Yeonjun together, their faces happy and carefree.
Yewon's eyes scanned the photos, her expression softening. "He's beautiful, Soobin. And you two look so happy together."
Soobin nodded, feeling a mix of emotions. "We were. But then he left for Seoul, and I haven't heard from him since. That's why I'm here, to find him and tell him how I feel."
Yewon's face lit up with determination. "We'll find him, Soobin. I promise. But first, tell me more about Yeonjun. What's he like? What does he like?"
"Yeonjun studies law at Seoul National University. His father, Prosecutor Choi Ye Jun, has business interests in hotels and restaurants, while his mother, Kim Se Yeon, owns several department stores and malls."
"Yeonjun, a law student at Seoul National University, is the son of Prosecutor Choi Ye Jun and businesswoman Kim Se Yeon, with family interests in hospitality and retail."
Yewon's eyes widened in shock, her mouth hanging open. "Choi Ye Jun... as in, the famous prosecutor Choi Ye Jun?" She couldn't believe it. Everyone in Seoul knew about Choi Ye Jun, the ruthless and respected prosecutor who had taken down some of the biggest names in business and politics.
Soobin nodded, feeling a mix of emotions. "Yes, that's him. Yeonjun's father."
Yewon's eyes sparkled with excitement and a hint of concern. "Soobin, do you know what you're getting yourself into? The Choi family is like royalty in Seoul. They're powerful, influential, and not to be trifled with."
Soobin took a deep breath, steeling himself. "I know, Yewon. But I don't care about any of that. I just want to find Yeonjun and tell him how I feel."
Yewon nodded, her expression determined. "Okay, Soobin. We'll find him. But we need to be careful. The Choi family won't take kindly to... " She paused, choosing her words carefully. " ...to someone like you getting involved with their son."
Soobin's heart skipped a beat at Yewon's words, but he knew she was right. He was taking a risk by pursuing Yeonjun, but he couldn't help how he felt.
"Have you guys taken your relationship to the next level and do the deed?" Yewon teased, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and a hint of mischief.
Soobin's face flushed as he nodded, his long-standing friendship with Yewon making him comfortable sharing intimate details.
Yewon's teasing continued as she led Soobin to her living room. "Oh Soo-bunny's not a virgin anymore!" she laughed, winking at him.
Soobin's face flushed with embarrassment. "Yewon, keep it down!" he pleaded, laughing awkwardly.
Yewon chuckled, holding up her hands in mock surrender. "Okay, okay, I'll behave."
Yewon's expression turned serious, her eyes sparkling with determination. "Now, let's get down to business. We need to find Yeonjun. Tell me everything you know, anything that might lead us to him."
Soobin stood outside the law building, scanning the crowds of students rushing to and from class. He had been coming to Seoul National University for three days now, hoping to catch a glimpse of Yeonjun. The first two days had been disappointing, but he refused to give up.
Just as he was about to leave, he saw him. Yeonjun walked out of the building, his eyes fixed on his phone as he scrolled through messages. Soobin's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met for a brief moment, before Yeonjun looked away, oblivious to Soobin's presence.
As Soobin continued to gaze in Yeonjun's direction, he noticed a sleek, black car pull up alongside him - a brand-new model, its shiny surface gleaming in the sunlight. Yeonjun, oblivious to Soobin's watchful eyes, opened the passenger door and slid into the luxurious vehicle. He decided to follow the car.
Soobin stepped out of the cab and gazed up at the grand mansion, his eyes widening in awe. The sheer scale and opulence of the estate made his heart sink, highlighting the vast chasm between his own humble existence and Yeonjun's life of luxury.
He couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between his own worn jeans and faded T-shirt, and the immaculately manicured lawns and polished marble façade of the mansion. The disparity was jarring, making Soobin feel like an outsider in a world that was far removed from his own.
As he stood there, a mix of emotions swirled inside him - wonder, insecurity, and a hint of longing. He thought about Yeonjun, living a life of privilege and comfort, and wondered if they could ever truly be together, despite the vastly different worlds they came from.
Soobin stood before the grand entrance, his finger hovering over the doorbell. He took a deep breath, steeling himself, and pressed the button. The sound of chimes echoed through the stillness, but there was no response. He waited, his heart beating with anticipation, but the silence was deafening.
He pressed the button again, wondering if anyone was home. Still, there was no answer. Soobin's mind raced with possibilities - maybe Yeonjun was busy, or maybe he was being ignored. The uncertainty gnawed at his confidence, making him question his decision to come here.
As he stood there, feeling uncertain and vulnerable, Soobin realized that he had no idea what he would say to Yeonjun even if he did answer. Would he confess his feelings, or simply pretend to be a friend? The uncertainty made his stomach twist with anxiety.
