"Are you seriously telling me you brought your work laptop on our trip?" Jungkook asked, his tone laced with disbelief as he watched Namjoon pull the sleek device out of his bag the moment they got into the car from the airport
"Yes?" Namjoon replied simply, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, his fingers already brushing over the edges of the laptop
"This is a honeymoon... Your staff worked so hard to make this happen...literally begging you to leave their asses alone for two days! And you can't even give them that much peace?" Jungkook asked with big eyes, throwing his hands up in frustration
Namjoon didn't even look up as he opened the screen. "The business won't run itself, Jungkook!!"
Jungkook let out a short, exasperated laugh, shaking his head as he turned to stare out of the car window "Unbelievable! Why bother getting mated if this is what you wanted? Should've just stayed single and married your laptop instead"
Namjoon finally looked at him, sensing the telltale spike in Jungkook's scent...spicy and sharp with anger. His own alpha instincts began shifting uneasily at the omega's mood, but he sighed, shutting the laptop and slipping it back into his bag "Happy now?"
Jungkook snorted, his arms crossing as he leaned back in his seat "Oh, I didn't know you cared about 'happy.' I thought your default setting was 'grumpy.'" He rolled his eyes "Jin hyung was right!!"
Namjoon immediately tensed, removing his sunglasses as his gaze fixed on Jungkook "What did Jin hyung say?"
Jungkook tilted his head, his nose scrunching slightly at Namjoon's sudden panic "He said I should throw your laptop into the lake if I catch you using it on this trip!!'
Namjoon blinked, visibly relaxing "Ah, that!!" he murmured, settling back into his seat
Jungkook narrowed his eyes. "What? What did you think he said?"
"Nothing!!" Namjoon said too quickly, pulling his sunglasses back on and leaning against the headrest "Forget it"
Jungkook huffed, rolling his eyes "You are so dramatic!!"

The resort was breathtaking, even more than they had expected. It was the perfect getaway for couples...private, well-maintained and serene. The moment they arrived, a few staff members greeted them with warm smiles, offering refreshing towels and cold drinks. Namjoon couldn't help but notice how one of the omegas working there seemed a little too fascinated by Jungkook
"You are so stunning Jungkook ssi " she said, smiling bright and her eyes lingering on him the entire time "Your hair is gorgeous. I have seen pictures of you in the news, but they don't do you justice!!" She spoke as they made their way to their villa.
