×Sunghoon's pov×

"Okay, okay, I just wanted to make sure you're taking care of yourself. Just try to enjoy it, okay?"

"I will! I promise!"

Sunghoon grinned, his heart filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation.

He had been through so much pressure in the past few months, but now, everything was finally falling into place.

As he hung up the phone, he noticed Jake and Jungwon staring at him, their eyes full of curiosity and admiration.

"What?"

Sunghoon asked, a little embarrassed by the intense gaze. Jake smiled, his voice and face filled with awe.

"This is huge, Sunghoon! We're all so proud of you!"

"Yes, we definitely are! And, um... Since we are the first to know... Can we come with you tomorrow?"

Sunghoon scoffed, looking at Jungwon, playfully ruffling the younger boy's hair.

"Of course you can! I'll be glad to have you with me!"

"Yay!"

The rest of the day was spent in a whirlwind of excitement. They celebrated Sunghoon's news with a trip to the mall, buying new skating gear and even some lucky charms for good measure.

The atmosphere was electric with anticipation for Sunghoon's comeback.

As the evening approached, they decided to invite Sunoo and Ni-ki over to their house, planning a movie night, with drinks and snacks galore. But something else was on their minds. Not a movie, not the snacks.

"Hey, guys, remember our old videos? We should watch some of the old ones."

Jungwon suggested, his eyes twinkling with mischief. They all knew that there would be really embarrassing moments.

But Sunghoon knew it all already. Him and Jay would often watch them together, which made him relieved that Jay wouldn't miss a big moment.

"Good idea!"

Jake agreed, and headed over to Jay's room, coming back with a USB filled with old clips from their past ten years together. Memories flooded back as the screen filled with their younger selves, laughing, playing pranks, and even singing off-key karaoke.

The laughter echoed through the house, making it impossible to fall asleep. They even watched Sunghoon's ice skating videos, watching himself as a young boy, honing his skills with a determination that was as inspiring as it was endearing.

The night flew by in a blur of shared memories and endless chatter. Around one in the morning, as they were engrossed in a heated game of Mario Kart, Jake's phone rang.

"Hello? Hi, hyung! Oh I'm doing great. Is anything wrong? Oh. Okay then! Well- hm? The others? They're great, don't worry about it. Yeah. Well, you better go to sleep. Goodnight!"

He hung up, a bewildered look on his face. Jungwon noticed his expression, so he couldn't help but ask.

"Hey, who was that, hyung?"

"Heeseung hyung. He just called to see if we were doing okay."

Jake replied, his head tilted in confusion. He looked really confused and surprised, as if he was never expecting that.

"What's so weird about that?"

Sunoo asked, munching on a handful of chips. Jake looked at him, and shrugged, looking at his black phone screen.
