[two years after]
Sungjin stretched as he stood up to take a break from his work. He blinked at the view that he had from his room, smiling softly at how beautiful today was before he decided to grab a snack.
He moved out of his old hometown. He needed to; his job demanded him to move locations. As much as he didn't want to because he was still looking for Gureum, he had no choice.
He had parted ways with Jaehyung, Wonpil, and Dowoon. They still contact each other occasionally and set up dates to meet and catch up. The feeling whenever they were together was still the same even if they'd changed a bit over the past two years.
Sungjin was still in contact with Hoseok but the younger never contacted him. Sungjin confronted him about it before.
"It's like we aren't friends!" laughed Sungjin.
Hoseok laughed as well, "Well, I don't want to give you false hope that we have updates regarding Gureum!"
Sungjin smiled, "How is Yoongi? He's not looking for him still, is he?"
"Yah, what do you take me for? I'm still going out to look for him every single day!" Yoongi protested.
Sungjin giggled, "Take a rest once in a while!"
"Don't you want to find Gureum anymore?"
Sungjin sighed, "I do. After all, I still drop by the neighborhood at least once a week, right? But... I don't know, I feel calm whenever I think about him. And I always think about him.
"Sure, I wish he'd come back. But there's a part of me that says that he's okay. And it usually triumphs over my worry about Gureum, so I'm not that worried anymore."
"Jesus. Oh, but hey. I still have yet to find that plastic that he was carrying when I was with him," said Yoongi.
"Plastic?" Sungjin wondered.
"I think there were clothes in it."
"Oh, that! Those are my clothes," said Sungjin.
"I go into every nook and cranny that I can see even though I must force myself to fit in the tiny entrances," Yoongi said.
"He's come home with few scratches," giggled Hoseok.
"What's funny about that? Stop looking for him that way if it hurts!" Sungjin scolded.
But Yoongi ignored that, "Gureum is small, and he can fit into anything. So, I tried to enter small holes to see if he was in there or if I could spot a clue. Even a torn-up part of the plastic that he was carrying, none."
Sungjin decided to contact Hoseok and ask how they were doing. It took him a while to respond to his call, and it was someone else who answered.
"Hello, please wait a second. Hoseok hyung is in the bathroom."
"Jungkookie?" Sungjin blinked.
"Hm? Who is this —? Oh, it's Sungjin hyung! Hi, hyung!" Jungkook greeted.
Sungjin smiled, "How are you guys doing over there?"
"Oh, the bakery is booming!" beamed Jungkook.
"That's good."
"Who's that, Jungkook-ah?"
"It's Sungjin hyung!"
"Sungjin? Why is he calling? Hello?"
"Do you still have scratches from squeezing into tiny holes?" Sungjin grinned.
