CHAPTER EIGHTH: BE HAPPY OR CRY OVER FATE?

'AURTHOR'

Sunghoon's eyes snapped open as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the gap in the curtains. He rolled over to the other side of the bed, where Sunoo was still asleep, a serene look on his face that only served to aggravate Sunghoon more. The weight of the previous night’s revelations crashed down on him like a tidal wave. Sunoo—his rival, the person he’d spent countless hours scheming against—was now his spouse. The anger was palpable, gnawing at the edges of his thoughts.

and if you're thinking how did they ended up sleeping on the same bed..well...thry almost strangled eachother for the bed and eventually they both agreed to sleep on the same bed (after alot of punches and slaps)

When Sunoo stirred and groggily turned toward him, Sunghoon couldn’t contain his frustration any longer. "How could you keep this from me?" he snapped, his voice rough from sleep and irritation.

Sunoo blinked open his eyes, confusion flickering across his face before it shifted into a defensive stance. "Are you seriously starting this again? It’s too early."

"It's not about the time, Sunoo," Sunghoon shot back, his tone harsh. "It’s about the fact that you’re my enemy, and now I’m stuck in this marriage because of some twisted family arrangement. How could you not tell me?"

Sunoo sat up, his expression darkening. "And how was I supposed to bring this up? 'Oh, by the way, the person you hate the most is actually your future spouse'? I didn’t have a choice in this either."

Sunghoon’s jaw clenched as he threw off the covers and paced the room. "I don’t care about your choices. This whole thing is a betrayal, and it’s like you’re mocking me by being so calm about it."

"It’s not about mocking you. It’s about survival. If you think I wanted this either, you’re mistaken. But we have to make the best of it," Sunoo replied, frustration seeping into his voice.

Sunghoon shook his head in disbelief. "Best of it? How can I even begin to do that when every time I look at you, I’m reminded of all the times you’ve tried to sabotage me?"

Sunoo’s eyes flashed with a mix of anger and hurt. "And you think I’ve forgotten how you’ve tried to undermine everything I’ve worked for? We’re in this together whether we like it or not."

The tension was thick, and Sunghoon could feel the bitterness seeping into every word they exchanged. There was no resolution in sight, only a tangled mess of emotions and animosity that seemed impossible to untangle.

'KIM SUNOO'

I sat besides jungwon, the feeling the stress of the morning weigh heavily on me. Jungwon looked up to me, concern evident in his eyes. I took a deep breath before starting.

"You won’t believe what happened," I began, trying to keep my voice steady. "I’m married now. To Sunghoon."

Jungwon’s expression remained the same, as he looked at me with a bored expression."i know babe, you're all over the news..but i don't understand it..you both...how? because as far as I or the MEDIA knows, you both don't leave a chance to strangle eachother"

"Yeah right, that's a long story" I said, running a hand through my hair. "I thought it was bad enough that my family arranged this marriage, but finding out it was Sunghoon—my rival—has been a nightmare."
