After school, I had work today. I said bye to my friends Sadie, Kaliah, and Samantha, then walked home from school to get ready for work because I start work at 5:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. The job I'm working at is called Walgreens. The walk home was a peaceful walk. It allowed me to think and clear my mind. I arrived home. Mom was on the couch reading her book, and she saw me come into the house.
"Hi, Babycakes'', She said, how was school today?''
"School was good'', I said, I have work today at 5:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm so I'm going to go upstairs to my room and get ready.''
"Okay, Babycakes'', Mom said, "I'll make sure to put your dinner in the microwave when you return.''
"Okay, thank you Mom'', I said.
"You're welcome, baby'', She said.
I went upstairs to my room and closed my door. I changed out of my outfit and into my work uniform.
