── .✦ THE MORNING SUN filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room as yn slowly woke up. she blinked, adjusting to the light, and for a moment, she wasn't sure where she was. but then she felt a strong arm draped over her waist, and she remembered everything. a soft smile tugged at her lips as she turned her head slightly to find ran still asleep beside her. his face was relaxed, peaceful in sleep, and she took a moment to simply watch him, feeling her heart swell with affection.

it all felt so surreal - waking up next to ran, their bodies tangled in the sheets. but it was real, and it was wonderful. she had fallen asleep in his arms, and now here they were, together in the quiet morning light, with nothing but the sound of their breathing to fill the space between them.

as if sensing her gaze, ran stirred, his eyes fluttering open. a slow, sleepy smile spread across his face as he looked at her, and yn felt her heart skip a beat. "good morning." he murmured, his voice still rough from sleep.

"good morning." she replied softly, her smile widening. ran shifted closer, tightening his arm around her waist as he buried his face in the crook of her neck. "i could get used to this." he mumbled against her skin, his breath warm and comforting. yn let out a soft laugh, her fingers gently tracing patterns on his back. "so could i." she admitted, her voice filled with warmth.

for a few blissful moments, they simply lay there, wrapped up in each other and the softness of the morning. it was a rare and precious moment, and yn wished she could freeze time, stay in this bubble of happiness forever. but eventually, reality began to creep back in, and she knew that their time together was running short.

ran seemed to sense it too, because he sighed softly and lifted his head to look at her. "i have to go soon," he said, his tone filled with reluctance. "the team's getting ready to head back to japan."
yn felt a pang of disappointment, but she nodded, understanding. "i know," she said, her voice quiet. "but we'll catch up at the airport, right?"
ran smiled, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to her lips. "definitely," he promised. "i wouldn't miss it for the world."

they lingered in bed for a few more minutes, savoring their last bit of time together before ran reluctantly slipped out from under the covers. yn watched as he picked up his belongings, her heart aching slightly at the thought of saying goodbye, even if it was only for a few hours.

once he was done, he turned back to her, a soft smile on his face. "i'll see you soon, love." he said, his voice gentle. yn nodded, forcing herself to smile back. "see you soon."

ran leaned down to kiss her one last time, his lips lingering on hers before he finally pulled away. he gave her one last look, full of love and promise, before he headed out the door. the room felt a little emptier without him, and yn found herself already missing his presence.
