Third person pov:"It began as a prank and ended in murder."
"Fantastic choice. I love this one."Donna said with a smile.
"It's trash, Low-brow horror. It's for my stepdaughter."the lady had said which made Donna's smile disappear.
"That'll be $2.95."Donna said scanning the book the lady pulled out her wallet and gave her a $5 dollar bill which Donna took and gave her change and her receipt.
"Thank you for shopping at B. Dalton's."Donna said sliding the book towards the women.
Which the lady took with a rude expression on her face and walked out of the book store.
"And have a nice night."Donna said flipping her off behind her back.
After a couple a hour or so the mall was now officially closed for the night and Donna took her time closing up her store.
Donna shut the lights off closed the register and tidied up her desk until she heard the phone ring Donna walked over to the phone putting it up to her ear.
"Hello, this is B. Dalton's. We're closed."Donna said.
"Ok, since when do you work late?"a voice said on the other line which earned a smile from Donna.
"Since my mom used her last paycheck on scratch tickets instead of the gas bill."Donna said then the line goes dead.
"Hello?"Donna said with a confused expression on her face.
"Jack?.... Jack? Are you there?"Donna said then the phone beeps so Donna put the phone back onto the desk and began to go look for her friend.
"Hello, Jack!"Donna said trying to see if she hear him.
She walked out of her store and looked around which obviously no one was in the mall at that time which unsettled her as there was silence threw out the mall.
Donna jumped when she heard something behind her she turned around quickly and see the janitor with a mop and other cleaning supplies.
"Night." The man said to her walking down to the hallway that was leading to the janitors closet. Donna smiled and sighed of relief as she watched the man disappear down the hallway.
"Boo!"a voice said making Donna jump and quickly turn around.
"Jesus Christ!"Donna yelled as the man laughed.
"Jack! What the hell, dude!"Donna yelled.
"Forgive me?"Jack said handing her a drink.
"I do need a ride tonight."Donna said taking the drink then Donna saw a smirk on Jacks face.
"That's what she said."Jack said as Donna rolled her eyes at his comment.
"You are disgusting. And, yes, I don't want to walk home alone."Donna said taking a sip from the drink Jack had just gave her.
"Fine. Just give me 15 minutes to close up."Jack said looking at her.
"Sounds good."Donna said and then they both began to walk back to their stores.
"What?"jack said looking back at Donna. Donna looked back at him.
"I didn't say anything, weirdo."Donna said and began to walk back to her store.
Then Jack looked at her for a minute and walked back to his store.
As Donna made it back to her store she began to close the shutters then she noticed it didn't go all the way down so she tried to push it all the way down but it was budging so she just left it.
