"I still don't understand who could have informed Brad about Sophia's identity."
Alex was seated at her office desk, clearly troubled.
"Aside from family, only our most trusted associates were aware of your marriage."
Julia explained.
"That's the problem," Gabriel said. "There might be a mole within the PC Building."
"Then let's begin an investigation to uncover the culprit. I want to handle this personally and ensure they face severe consequences."
Elliott declared.
"Right. I need your help to discreetly investigate those associates. Let's keep this between us for now."
Alex requested from her three cousins.
As the four began discussing their plan, Jared knocked on the door.
"Boss, we have a cleanup. Your presence is requested."
"Are you coming this time, Alex?"
Elliott asked.
"Absolutely. It's about time. I've been bored as hell for the past three weeks. My hands are itching to handle these toys."
Alex replied, casually twirling her knives.
Another hectic day at work had finally drawn to a close. Sophia stayed late to assist Christina and Michelle with their tasks. As she made her way to the basement to head to the private elevator, the doors suddenly slid open, revealing Julia and Elliott, who looked disheveled. Elliott's hands were once again covered in blood.
"Hey, Sophia! Heading home?"
Elliott greeted her.
"Hi, Elliott! Hi, Julia! Yes, I am."
Sophia replied.
"Make sure Alex takes the medicine we left for her, okay?"
Elliott added.
"Why? Is she not feeling well?"
Sophia asked, her concern evident.
"She joined us for the cleanup earlier," Elliott explained. "I guess she's still a bit rusty. She got beaten up pretty badly-broke her arm and a rib again."
Sophia's eyes widened in shock at Elliott's words. Overcome with concern, she hurriedly stepped into the elevator, heading straight for the penthouse.
"Elliott, why did you say that?"
Julia asked her twin brother, a look of confusion on her face.
"Just trying to play cupid and stir up some hidden sparks."
Elliott replied with a mischievous grin.
As the elevator doors opened, Sophia rushed into the penthouse. She spotted Lisa setting the table for dinner.
"Lisa, where's Alex?"
Sophia asked urgently, catching her breath.
"She's in her room right now, Sophia. But-"
Sophia didn't wait for Lisa to finish and sprinted upstairs.
Alex had just finished a warm, soothing shower. She applied ointment to the bump on her head and covered it with a small bandage. Once she had finished, Alex stepped out of the bathroom.
As Alex emerged from the bathroom, she was taken aback when Sophia burst through her door.
"What are you doing here? No one is allowed in my room!"
