Christina and Michelle stared in shock as Sophia sprinted toward the escalator, calling out to Alex by her first name.

"Did I just hear Sophia call Boss Alex by her first name?!"

Christina asked, bewilderment etched on her face.

"I thought I heard that too. Wait-am I missing something here?!"

Michelle exclaimed, equally confused.

As Alex and Mr. Bauer reached the ground floor, Julia and Elliott waited for them. Elliott, noticing Sophia's frantic pursuit, glanced at Alex with a questioning look.

"Walk."

Alex commanded, continuing forward with a decisive stride.

Sophia finally reached the base of the escalator, pushing past those standing in her way as she tried to catch up with Alex.

"Alex! Wait!"

She called out.

Just as she took the last step, she stumbled and fell, injuring her ankle. Despite the pain, she was determined to reach Alex, who still hadn't turned around.

"Alex! Hold on!"

Sophia shouted, wincing as she struggled to her feet and continued to pursue her.

Despite her repeated attempts to call out, Alex never glanced back. Sophia could tell that Alex had heard her but chose to ignore her pleas. Realizing she had no other option, Sophia shouted.

"Alexandria Van Leeuw! Stop! Please!!!"

Her voice echoed through the building, causing everyone to halt, including Julia, Elliott, and Mr. Bauer, who signaled Alex to stop as well.

"Is Sophia out of her mind?!"

Christina exclaimed, astonished by Sophia's outburst.

Sophia's colleagues, along with the rest of the people in the building, watched the unfolding tension on the ground floor with keen interest.

"Please, Alex! Talk to me!"

Sophia pleaded, her voice rising in desperation and successfully drawing Alex's attention.

"I have nothing to say, Ms. de Jongh."

Alex responded coldly and firmly.

"You don't?! Well, I do! I have a lot I need to say."

Sophia countered.

"Please, don't make a scene here."

Alex said, trying to diffuse the situation.

"Then don't be such an asshole and hear me out!"

Sophia burst out, her eyes filled with tears as she limped closer to Alex, determined to be heard despite the pain.

"Yes, that document you saw was mine. I made it when you were being an asshole and treating me poorly. Back then, I couldn't stand living with you anymore but that's because I didn't understand the pain and struggle you were facing alone. But that's changed, Alex. Things have changed, and you know that. I decided not to go through with my plan long before because you've changed too. Seeing that other side of you-how you protected me, cared for me when I was unwell, how you hugged me and kissed me-it meant so much. Please, Alex, you mean everything to me now.
I love you."

Sophia confessed everything, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face. Her voice trembled with desperation as she poured out her feelings, pleading for Alex to truly listen.

Alex stood there, dumbfounded and speechless, unable to move as she absorbed Sophia's heartfelt confession. The weight on her heart began to lift, and her own tears threatened to fall as she processed the raw emotion Sophia had just laid bare.

Unable to resist her emotions any longer, Alex turned around and swiftly moved toward Sophia. She grasped Sophia's head gently from behind and kissed her with a tenderness and intensity she had deeply missed. The kiss was both passionate and longing. Sophia, overwhelmed with emotion, wrapped her arms around Alex's neck, eagerly returning the kiss.

"What the hell?!"

Christina exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.

"Oh my gosh!"

Michelle burst out, equally stunned.

"Well, look at that."

Gabriel said, appearing behind the two women.

"Boss! We're sorry!"

Christina and Michelle apologized, caught off guard.

"No need to apologize. Just like you two, I'm here to watch the scene."

Gabriel replied with a hint of amusement.

As their lips parted, Alex continued to stare at Sophia, unable to look away. Sophia remained emotional, her confession having revealed their true relationship to everyone in the building.

"Alex, people are staring."

Sophia said softly, feeling a bit shy.

"I told you not to make a scene, didn't I? But I don't care-let them stare."

Alex replied, pulling Sophia closer and kissing her again with renewed passion.

Alex and Sophia were oblivious to the crowd around them. A deafening silence enveloped the space as they shared another tender, passionate kiss, lost in their own world.

As their lips parted once more, both women took a moment to catch their breath. Alex then took Sophia's hand and walked toward Mr. Bauer.

"Mr. Bauer, I apologize for the interruption. Could you grant me 10 minutes to speak privately with my wife?"

Alex requested.

"Your wife, you say? Very well, make it 30 minutes. I'm sure you have a lot to discuss. Julia and Elliott can keep me company in the meantime. I'll see you in the conference room in half an hour, Alex."

Mr. Bauer responded.

Alex walked swiftly toward Conference Room 2, unaware that Sophia was wincing in pain from her injured ankle.

"Alex, hold on."

Sophia said, struggling to keep up as Alex continued to pull her along.

Once inside the conference room, Alex couldn't resist kissing Sophia again. She pressed Sophia gently against the door, capturing her lips in a fervent kiss. Sophia, though in pain, eagerly responded, her kisses reflecting the deep longing and affection she had felt during their separation.

"Alex."

Sophia called softly, her voice heavy with exhaustion.

"Come here."

Alex said, pulling her closer by the waist. Noticing that Sophia winced in pain, Alex asked, "What's wrong, Sophia?"

"Nothing. I just sprained my ankle earlier while trying to chase someone really stubborn."

Sophia replied with a hint of humor.

"Oh! Sophia, I'm so sorry."

Alex said, her tone filled with regret for her earlier behavior.

"No, Alex, I'm sorry. For hurting you."

Sophia responded, her voice trembling as tears began to fall again.

"We're moving past that, dear wife. So stop crying, okay?"

Alex said reassuringly, smiling as she gently held Sophia's face and wiped away her tears.

"Alright, but don't forget, you still owe me dinner."

Sophia said, her tone playful as she wrapped her arms around Alex. They lingered in a quiet embrace, savoring the comforting warmth of each other's presence.
