Assuming one didn't have ADHD, you could probably enjoy a normal conversation. But if you were Subaru F. Smith, you'd probably be doing anything to keep your hands moving.
Which is why he was fiddling with a small, and colorful cube-shaped object. The object has the young girl captivated and curious.
Felt: What's that big bro?
Momentarily stopping, Subaru looks at Felt.
Subaru: Big... bro? Since when did we become siblings?
Felt: *smirk* Since you brought me more clients... and money!
True, Subaru did indeed bring the thief girl a potentially large amount of income.
Subaru: Heh, you're right about that.
He raises the cube.
Subaru: Anyway, this thing here is called a Rubik's cube.
Felt: What does it do?
The proud scientist proceeds to explain that a Rubik's cube is a puzzle toy that helps some people with ADHD or a creative mind, letting them either nurture their talents or keep their bodies in a relatively focused state as they try to solve the little toy. Well, not really.
Felt: What's ADHD?
After that whole explanation, Subaru can't help but fall over in exasperation, dropping the cube in the process.
Subaru: That's what got you!?
The young girl picks up the colorful piece of plastic from the floor and looks it over.
Felt: Hm. It's kinda like a toy...
The old man, who was chatting with the elf beauty, in Subaru's opinion, stands up to also take a gander at the strange object.
Rom: Howzit work?
Grabbing the cube, Subaru shows the duo on how to rotate and twist it.
Subaru: Like this.
Felt/Rom: Oh~!
So, as the two play with the Rubik's, Subaru silently places two metallic looking spiders by the entrance of the duo's rundown home.
Subaru: Say, when does your client arrive?
Heading over to sit next to the boy, Emilia has her attention also trained on the cube. It was quite the sight, all these people so focused on such a childish thing.
Subaru: Heh, if they think that's fun, wait till I bust out my Nintendo 3DS.
Sure, he could completely remake a Switch if he so wanted, but Subaru appreciated the ol' classics. He shared that sentiment with Jerry.
Felt: Hm? Oh, she should he here any minute.
Subaru: She?
Felt: Yeah. If you ask me, she was kinda...
She scrunches her face in frustration as the cube didn't place the correct color in the right place she specifically wanted.
Felt: ...off.
Subaru raised a brow.
Subaru: How so?
Off to the side, Emilia asks a turn and Felt, of course asks for money as a joke, before she hands it over to the other girl.
