(A/N: I actually drew that Sally picture, so if you'll let me know what you think that would be much appreciated. I'd also like to thank you all for the votes and the support! I really couldn't do this without you.)

-----------------

Sally was by far the cutest ghost Clockwork had ever met.

Not that she'd met that many ghosts, but whatever spirit guarded the clock in her room didn't seem very social.

Sally certainly didn't seem like a ghost however, she was as solid as a living thing, and her eyes were bright and focused. Clockwork normally didn't like small children, but Sally was the exception to the rule.

After Lulu had left, Jeff finished his apple in silence, and just watched on as Clockwork played with Sally. Something was nagging him, she knew, but Clockwork still didn't feel like asking what it was. Would he even answer her?

Stop thinking you're entitled to things you aren't.

Hoody came downstairs, a few minutes later, his mask hanging around his neck again. Masky wasn't with him.

He saw Sally and instantly everything about him lit up like the sun. "Hey Sally!" He said with real excitement. Sally whooped with happiness and ran over to him, and he picked her up like she weighed nothing; maybe she didn't, being a ghost.

"Since when were you here?!" He asked her cheerfully. Sally giggled and poked him in the nose.

"Lulu dropped her off." Clockwork explained. "She says hi, by the way."

"Cool." He grinned at Sally and put her back down. Hoody had a nice smile; you didn't see it often.

"You seem fond of her." Clockwork said, watching Sally run off and get one of her toys to show Hoody. It might have been just her imagination, but she thought he blushed a little.

"I actually..." Hoody kneeled down next to Sally and she handed him a doll with bright red hair. "Really like kids..."

"Except Slenderman eats them."

Hoody laughed. "Oh no, he's more into tweens, never someone as young as this." He ruffled Sally's hair affectionately, then he looked a little sad. "Megan kills kids this young..." He muttered.

"What's even up with her?"

"I don't know..." He sighed as Sally threw her arms around him in the cutest hug Clockwork had ever seen. "But she finds lost children and leads them to the hellhounds."

"That's terrible." Clockwork grimaced at the image of Megan leading Sally into the jaws of Smeagol that flashed across her mind.

"Yeah." A flash of anger glanced behind Hoody's dark eyes but was gone quickly, just like every other emotion he felt. "It is."

"Hoody!" Sally said excitedly. She'd run over to the window, which she had to stand very tall to look out of. "Look!"

Hoody stood up and went over to her. "What is it?"

"There's a butterfly! See? Right there!" She pointed, touching the glass, but no fingerprint was left behind.

"I see it." Hoody said. "What do we name him?"

"Birdy!" She cried. He looked down at her.

"Birdy? But he's not a bird!"

"But he flies! Like a bird."

"Ah ha." Hoody raised an eyebrow. "I see what you did there." Sally giggled.

"Aww c'mere you!" Hoody scooped her up and she squealed with laughter.
