He noted the ever expanding piles of homework assignments accumulating on his desk.
Kuroo would help him get it all done in no time, he was sure. But there was no doing that again.
Kenma threw himself on the floor, groaning, hitting the floor over and over again with a balled fist. Why did society exist? If society didn't exist, then he wouldn't have to catch up on assignments or study for pointless exams. Damn society.
He groped around for his phone that had fallen somewhere on the floor when he slid off of his desk chair. He finally found it and clicked on Kuroo's contact, calling his teammate.
"Kitten?"
Kenma did his best to ignore the pet name, "Hey, Kuro. I need help."
"What's up? Did you get your hand stuck in a jar again?"
"Wha– no, of course not! And that was a one-time occurrence. I'm having...academic issues."
"So you need help catching up on like ten assignments because you decided to play video games or take up some sort of random hobby you'll forget about in two weeks?"
Kenma paused, staying silent for a moment before he slowly dragged the answer from his own mouth, "...yes."
"Thought so. I'll be over soon, Love."
Kenma felt a pleasant tingle until he remembered his hatred for society.
"Tetsuro-San here to save the day!" The raven-haired male proudly barged into Kenma's room.
Kenma jumped from where he lay on the floor, having stayed there since he fell on the ground. He was currently reading through his weird "journal" he kept in middle school.
"Hi. Will you help me watch as society burns to the ground and humanity struggles in vain to rebuild what they can from the tarnished ashes of the destruction that is my desires."
"Kenma, focus on school now, the burning of the world later," Kuroo pulled some of Kenma's worksheets off of his desk.
Kenma tossed his middle school journal full of delusions under his bed and sat up to look at the sheets from beside his boyfriend.
"Let's first organize everything by subject, then from there we can figure out the hardest assignments and get those out of the way, then you'll only have to worry about the bite-sized assignments another day," Kuroo spoke patiently, giving Kenma a smile that told him that they'd get through this together.
Kenma loved it.
