He places a shot glass on the table filling it with JD. The only drink that warms your cockles and helps you relax. I hope it will do the latter tonight. I'm all wound up and need to be unwound as I'm at work tomorrow at the gym, a place I had never considered working with my credentials but hey we all can't get what we wish for. It pays the bills and puts food on the table. "You were right, Lukey. She was angry that I was even there. I know I hurt her in the past. I just wanted to make things right."

"By crashing the wedding." he shook his head. "Even for you, that's not the brightest idea you've had. I told you to talk to her baby boy. Then you decide the best time to make amends is to ruin the wedding and she'll come running back to you. I told yo7 that shit only works in movies."

"I know Lukey. I'm up the freak without a paddle I'm fucking mad right now."

"I know baby boy, talk to me and tell me how it all went to shit leaving no details out."

I nod. "You better leave the bottle on the bar."

He placed the bottle of JD on the bar. "Pour your shit out to me baby boy."

And I did. I told him everything from when I drove to the wedding angrily. To running in with not only her but her brother as well to why he was shocked at. "Hold the fire baby, her brother?"

"Yeah, can you believe it? I knew they were close like we were but they were flesh and blood. I had no idea he had been let out of prison."

"You'll have to tell me that story another time, baby boy."

"I think I already have."

"Well I need reminding, but not now to continue with you and these guys crashing the wedding."

I nodded and told him the rest of it, telling him how Carly's words were so cold towards me like we meant nothing to each other. Though I couldn't really blame her I told her we weren't siblings, but that was years ago.

He nodded and listened. "Will you listen to advice if I give it to you?"

"I can't promise anything, Lukey, but I'll try."

He smiles sweetly. "Give her some space. I know it's a lot to ask as you haven't been with each other for a long time and you're not the only one to blame for that. I know your anger at her may be expecting an invite to her wedding, but man up and take a back seat for a while then try and make amends. Let the paper dry then and only then go to her to try and sort out what went wrong in the past and fix it."

"I'll try. Lukey."

"You best," he said, winking, pouring another shot.

The door opened and loud chattering. I knew who it was without looking even though I did. "Well look at what the cat dragged in." I snarled.

Luke gave me a knowing look but I didn't give a Fuck.

They both looked over at who had made the comment and looked unsure of why I had said it. But they were going to find out soon enough. They ignored my comment and strolled in like they owned the fucking joint when they fucking didn't. They sat on the stools at the bar next to me fucking hilarious. "Our usual Luke."

"Coming up."

They smiled and I swear I want to punch their fucking lights out for smiling at my best friend Luke. I'm not jealous or anything, but who in the hell do they know Luke?

He gives me a glare to say keep your trap shit I don't want any trouble.

Ha!

"Hey Kaden, long time no see."
