Liam
I slam the door shut to my friend's prose and joy.
"Wow, Forest what the hell?"
I send him a death glare.
"I take it, it didn't go well?"
"No it fucking didn't."
"So what are we doing now? Are you heading home?"
"No, we're having a few drinks. I need to wind down before I head home to whatever bullshit my olds want to talk about."
"Sure bro, are you sure?"
"I am, drive and find the best place to drown your fuking sorrows."
"On it."
He changes gear, the wheels spun leaving smoke behind us as he speeds off down the streets and he's mad at me for slamming a fucking door those tyres cost a pretty penny.
We ended up in the bar where we planned our first heist that went fucking wrong, some pub to bring me to bro.
We head inside and order a round of beers. We sit down and he asks what happened in the church in serial so I tell him he's shocked and amazed that I wasn't the only one to try to stop the wedding, my brother for one and hers. What's the odds?
"Damn man, that's harsh. I never took Carly for being such a bitch."
"Neither did I but in respect they both deserved it."
"But you didn't bro, you've always been there for her."
"And I always will. She's old enough to make her own fuck ups. I pleaded my case. She knows how I feel and I'll always be there for her no matter what but she has to do the right thing by her no me nor anyone else. I walked away like you said."
"I'm proud of you bro."
"Believe me I am too. I wanted to get him to a pulp and drag her out of there but I don't want my ass behind bars again for my own stupidity."
He nods, tapping me on the back. I think I've finally grown up and realised I can't keep my sister wrapped up in cotton wool all of her life. Even though I love her she'll never see me as anything else but her older brother and I've got to not only deal with it I've got to come to terms with it as well.
We end up having another three pints before we decide to hit the road and he's to moms. I start work with Aiden on Monday. I'm working on the automotive part of the garage as I know more about cars than he does and I'll be working alongside three other guys. I hope that they are prepared to work alongside a convicted criminal because Aidan won't hesitate in sacking their asses.
We pulled alongside the drive as Aiden slid past us in his Harley, his baby. I remember the saying he told me about her and showed me pictures. I was so proud of my brother for building her from scratch.
Aiden took off his helmet and threw his leg over the bike and looked over at me and at the Lamborghini. He shook his head, not surprised who was driving.
I got out and said thanks and goodbye to Chase. He hollers,"Goodbye", and "Call me"."
I nod and put my hand in the air. His hand slips out of the window as he drives off.
I head over to Aiden. "Well, now I know how you got to the castle. I guess he picked you up outside the prison gates?"
"Well I asked someone else but they told me they were too busy, remember?"
"I was. I had a wedding to crash."
"I guess we weren't the only ones who had that planned."
"I guess not."
I sigh, so does Aiden. "So do you know what mom wants us home for?"
"Not a clue she made it sound like it was important."
"I guess we better face the music."
He nodded agreeing.
We headed inside to be greeted by our parents. "Het mom dad. What's going on?" I asked, smelling a female perfume that wasn't like Mom's. Though I couldn't say it wasn't for sure as I hadn't seen mom for the past ten years. Liam had kept me updated as I didn't want them visiting me in that Hell Hole cause I knew my mom would break down and she would never forgive that asshole sperm donor for it like Carly never had.
"Sit down, we need to talk."
We both did as Mom said. Dad took her hand in his oh o, this was something big. She looked at us solemnly. Now that you've both moved out and this place is quiet too, we've decided to add another addition to make it more lively."
"So what are you talking about mom? A puppy or a big ass dog?"
She shook her head we both knew where this was heading without looking at each other.
"Me and your father have talked endlessly about this since you're both grown up and leading your own lives.."
I wouldn't say that I was leading my own life per say as I was moving inwithAiden into his bachelor pad.
"Just spill it mom," Aidan said, and I couldn't agree more.
"Like I said, me and your dad have been talking endlessly about making things less quiet. The dog was our first suggestion and we decided against it like a cat. Then we both came to the conclusion that what we were missing was human interaction so we decided to foster."
We sat wide-eyed unsure of what to say. "Are you going loopy in your old age, Mom."
"I'm not that old young man, I've not even started going through the change yet."
"TMI."
"So as I was saying your dad and I have fostered a girl."
Great they're going to have a smaller ng baby around the house and we won't get a moment's peace. I guess that's why they wanted us to return for a few months to help out.
"A teenage girl. Her name is Angel."
Great, a teenage girl, periods and hormones. Great so we've got to put up with a teenage brat while we're here. Back chatting and a bad attitude to go with it.
"Are you sure about this Mom you're both getting in and is a teenage girl at an appropriate age to be around you and Dad?"
We're sure, just be nice to her guys. She's been through the mill and back, I'm sure you'll like her and all get on."
We nod.
"I'm going to call her down, so be on your best behaviour."
"Scouts honour." We said, saluting.
"You two were never in the scouts." she laughed and headed off to shout at the girl they had fostered. I still thought that was going loopy in her old age, but whatever made them happy.
I looked at Aiden and nodded. He nodded at me and we stood up heading over to the staircase to see what this girl looked like and if we had to tear limbs to keep her safe.
"Angel," she shouted twice.
We heard the thudding upstairs sounding like an elephant was about to come crashing through the ceiling, the stairs creaked as she came down them as she went to step off the last stepp she tripped and by a small mirrocale both Aiden and I managed to catch her before she face planted the floor.
"Angel, I would like you to meet your older brothers; Liam and Aiden."
She looked up and I smirked as she had the most beautiful piercing green eyes. I had no idea what Aiden was thinking but All I could see was a younger version of Carly with redish hair.
I couldn't help my crack about the ER cause if I didn't I knew I would've done something stupid in front of our parents.
Damn I was so screwed she was way too young for me but my body had different ideas.
