Yeonjun leaned back on the couch, a rare smile tugging at his lips as he glanced over at Soobin, who was currently engrossed in Mario Kart. Soobin's concentration was intense, his brows furrowed, but the playful glint in his eyes was also seen.

"Seriously, how are you so bad at this?" Yeonjun teased, nudging Soobin's leg with his foot. His tone was light, almost mischievous, a complete 180 to the more reserved version of himself he had been not too long ago.

Soobin shot him a mock glare. "You're one to talk! You've lost to me every single round," he shot back, his fingers flying over the controller as he tried to make a comeback.

Yeonjun laughed, the sound rich and genuine, a melody that seemed to fill the entire room.

"Yeah, yeah, keep dreaming. You're just lucky this time," he said.

The two of them had been at it for hours now, bouncing from one game to another, laughing and teasing each other like carefree kids.

It was the kind of easy, laid-back fun that Yeonjun had almost forgotten he could have—something that had been missing from his life for far too long.

Soobin, on the other hand, was in his element. His laughter was infectious, his energy boundless as he kept trying to one-up Yeonjun in every game they played. It was clear that he was savoring every moment, basking in the warmth of Yeonjun's growing comfort and openness.

"So, what do you want to do after I beat you in this one?" Soobin asked, a cheeky grin on his face.

Yeonjun rolled his eyes. "You're getting ahead of yourself, Soobin. You still have to win first," he replied, his competitive streak coming through.

They continued their playful banter, the room filled with the sound of button mashing, laughter, and the occasional mock insult.

Yeonjun found himself stealing glances at Soobin between rounds, taking in the way his hair fell into his eyes, the way his smile seemed to light up the entire room.

It was strange, in a way, how much had changed between them—how much Soobin had changed him. The house, which had once felt so empty, now felt alive, filled with warmth and laughter.

As the evening wore on, the golden light from the setting sun began to fade, casting long shadows across the room. They eventually decided to take a break, both of them stretching out on the couch, still buzzing from the adrenaline of their gaming session.
