Chris' POV-
" I love you Sona and if you wakeup early I promise you I'll confess my feelings to you. Just wakeup honey, if not for me then for our baby. I'm so sorry, I never should have forced myself on you. I was jealous, jealous that you were carrying my baby and still you spent time with another man. All these years I loved you, but I didn't have the balls to say that to you, I didn't wanna risk losing the throne, I didn't wanna risk upsetting my father, he's the only one I have after my mother's death. But today when I saw you in Louis' arms and your clothes wet, everything changed, I realised how much I loved you and that I cannot live without you. Baby, please don't leave me. Baby, look we have a little baby in your tummy, a wonderful life that we created. Please wake up, wakeup for us." I said to Sona while she was still unconscious, trying to remind her that if not for me then for the baby she must survive this. I hoped that subconsciously she was listening to me and it was giving her strength to fight back.
It wasn't long until I realised that the doctor hadn't arrived, time was of the essence now and these incompetent guards were not even able to get a doctor, who stays in our palace. I was about to stand up and call for him, when I saw that the royal physician had arrived.
"Why are you here Louis? " I asked him in anger, whatever I did to Sona today was only because of him " Relax, I'm not here to fight with you . I was just passing by and I saw the royal physician and your guards coming here. Waittt, what happened to Sona? What did you do to her?" Saying that Louis punched me hard in the face. " I had s@x with her and then she passed out" I had to reply when the physician asked me " You bastard, how can you force yourself on her when she's pregnant with your baby?" Saying that Louis punched me again " You know she's pregnant with my baby?" I asked him in confusion " Obviously, why won't I? That's the first thing she told me" Louis said in a 'it's but obvious tone' . " Wait, that means I called her a wh@re and a sl#t for no reason ?" I thought in my mind as guilt hit me hard.
" Now I get it, you forced yourself on her because you thought she gave me a f#ck . Like seriously, you think she's a wh@re or something... she shouldn't have gotten pregnant with your baby in the first place , I don't know what she sees in you" Louis said to me angrily while I was still on the ground due to the punch thinking of all the horrible things I said to her. But I stood up and punched him right back when he said Sona shouldn't have gotten pregnant with my baby " Don't ever say my baby's name from your mouth again" I said to him angrily , holding the collar of his shirt.
" Something is awakening inside her, I have never seen such a powerful rise. It's beyond my knowledge, I cannot treat her" the physian spoke and we both stopped fighting " What do you mean something is awakening inside her? And you have to treat her, both hers and my baby's life is at stake " I ordered the physician only for him to say " Your highness, I cannot stop this energy arising within her, it's beyond my capabilities " " What energy are you talking about? She's a human she cannot have an awakening " I told the physician as if I was reminding him " she's not a human...." Louis intervened saying that " and how would you know that?" I asked frustrated by all this discussion and not giving Sona and my baby treatment. " Don't you remember, I am a gifted senser and I am very sure that she is not a human, I could sense it when I went with her. I purposely taught her swimming and she could swim faster than me, no human can swim faster than an alpha and if you still don't believe just think how the hell is a weak human girl like her pregnant with an Alpha's baby"
" So, that's the reason why there clothes were wet" I taught to myself . " So what do we do now? I cannot see her suffer like that " I said hoping to get an answer as I looked at Sona's frail form lying on the bed " Only the witch Martha can help you now" the physian sighed and left after I told him not to tell this to anyone especially to my father. I went to sit beside Sona, took her body on my lap, rest her head gently on my shoulder, one arm stroking her back and the other stoking our baby " It will be ok honey, you are stronger than this , I'm here with you and I won't leave you. You can leave Louis, I need time alone with my wife and my baby " " She isn't not your wife..." Louis objected and Sona placed her hand over mine which was on her belly. I smiled that Sona was able to listen to me and that means she was alright and my baby too . I slowly felt my baby's heartbeat coming back to normal and this assured me that my Sona and my baby will be alright.
Seeing Sona respond to me, Louis stormed out of the room. I was happy that Sona chose me and Louis was shown that Sona belongs with me. But I still couldn't understand that Sona was not actually a human, and if she was a werewolf then where is her wolf? For now I only had to focus comforting Sona.
" It's happening...it's happening... The warrior is rising... he's rising to free us all from the curse...The one true warrior is awakening....The sun is out for the first time 200 years, come your majesty, let's see if the sacred Ice Sword is rising too" Said one of the ministers to the King in shock and happiness
