After that nonsense with the brownies, Jeff is walking to the hotel that he and Katrina are staying at. He makes it to the room, and as he walks in, he's greeted with the sight of his and Katrina's clothes thrown everywhere, drawers are off the dressers, and where there was a painting has mysteriously gone missing. Katrina is sitting on the bed all upset until she sees Jeff just standing there.
Katrina: Oh hey, welcome back..
Jeff: I take it the call didn't go well?
Katrina: It was awful.
Jeff: I bet it was. And judging by the state of the room, he said something you didn't like so you went into a fit of rage.
Katrina: Yeah..
Jeff: This is probably the most metal thing I've ever seen. I take it that you can't keep your rage in check?
Katrina: Yep. You probably think I'm crazy to have that much anger in me.
Jeff: No, because I know what it's like to have a lot of anger and hate. But there are other ways to vent your anger, you know. I mean look at this room! It's a mess! Even I wouldn't have a fit like this, and…*looks at where painting used to be* Where's the painting?
Katrina: I threw one of my shoes at it and it fell behind the couch…
Jeff goes to grab it, the glass is cracked, the frame is broken, but the painting is ok.
Jeff: Ok, nothing to worry about, we'll just have to clean the room, and get a new frame for the painting.
Katrina: Do we really have to?
Jeff: Yes. it's called being considerate, plus if we play our cards right, they won't charge us for the frame.
Katrina: Yeah, but what if we just get housekeeping up here and they'll do everything while we relax.
Jeff: *deeply sighs* No Katrina, this is the right way which means it's the right thing to do.
Katrina: Fine…
And so, they start cleaning the room, putting clothes away, fixing the drawers and dresser, and even getting a new frame for the painting. With all that over, Jeff and Katrina sit on the couch and start talking.
Katrina: I didn't expect you to be a responsible person.
Jeff: Heh yeah, well I had to be. With my brother doing his own thing, I have to be the one responsible for maintaining the house, taking care of my little sister, and keeping up with the bills. I don't know, it's like, ever since my parents left me and my brother, we had to grow up, more so Johnny than me. We went from different houses to different locations in the world. Eventually my grandpa just left us at my house and he moved back to his.
Katrina: That's terrible..so you never had a childhood?
Jeff: Not really, most of my childhood was spent trying to make money. I never got to play with other kids my age, watch tv or any of that. Just hustle and bustle for little Jeffrey..I don't even know what Mya's been through before I met her, but I make sure that she doesn't have to work through her childhood.
Katrina: Well, at least you're letting her be a kid. When I was younger, I was always…a little different. I would want to make friends with other girls, but they always thought I was weird so I'd be an antisocial person. I guess it doesn't help that I was always tomboyish, but dammit I wanted to be a normal girl too. I wanted to wear makeup and wear dresses and look pretty. But no, I have short hair, an ugly face and a big stupid stomach. It also doesn't help that my hair is turning gray, I got that from my dad. His hair didn't turn gray until he was my age. And I was always the fat girl where I was from. My sister however, she's the pretty one, she got all the outfits SHE wanted, whatever she wanted she was catered to hand and foot. And what did I get? Absolutely nothing.
