Back home, the guys are still rockin it like they usually do, and Katrina was at most of the shows too, but one day they got to play the 2020 rattlesnake roundup in sweetwater. Jeff was really hoping that Katrina would show up, but when the time came, she didn't. During covid, they played shows with somewhat success, and Jeff would look into the crowd to see if Katrina was there, and still, she wasn't there. He figured she had forgotten him, and he decided to move on. Eventually he got with his 2nd girlfriend which made him a little bit happier, but he was still curious about Katrina, and he kept looking for her in the crowds. Eventually he gave up and at one point broke down on stage. However, it turns out Katrina was there all along. She took Jeff's advice and decided to finally become the person she was meant to be: a goth. She dyed her hair, grew it out, wore makeup, black clothing, doc martens, and even got her ears pierced. Everytime she was at each show, she noticed Jeff looking around, and was even at the show where he broke down. She was gonna go up to him until she saw his current girlfriend trying to comfort him. She was at a loss, she didn't know whether to be upset, mad, or leave. Eventually, they both forgot each other and even forgot about their time together. Which means this whole book is a repressed memory for both of them. As for Murray and Tina's relationship, they talked to each other nonstop, no matter the distance. Then, nebula454 put out their final album which caught Katrina's attention. All the memories with Jeff and her were coming back, and she felt there was still hope, but then she found someone new after finally breaking up with her boyfriend, much to her step father's dismay. As for Jeff, he broke up with his girlfriend after a date gone wrong. In spring break 2021, nebula454 are on vacation in Galveston while Katrina is vacationing there with her friends. Katrina gets a message from her new boyfriend that they were breaking up, and she was upset. Her friends were trying to calm her down, and a few feet away…Jeff was there and heard everything. The next day, Jeff would find her and for the first time in over a year, they're together again. Katrina even got to see Jeff graduate. That just begs the question: what's gonna happen to them after 2021?.......who knows.
